  1. Started with a laxative last night and 32 oz's. of warm water with 2 tablespoons of non iodized sea salt this morning (the "salt water flush"). This morning has been an "interesting" morning, to put it non-grossly. Peeing out of my ass in large quantities like a half dozen times is more crudely to the point...

Each day, I started with SWF, and then make a lemonade concoction. 100 oz. or pure, filtered water with 10 oz. of lemon juice, 10 oz. of maple syrup and a teaspoon of cayenne pepper. This is my daily intake. At night, I roll with an herbal tea laxative.

The idea is to have the lemon juice and pepper, combined with the laxative at night to loosen all of the gunky build up in one's intestinal tract and the salt water flush in the morning gets rid of it all.

I will not be eating ANY morsel of food for the next 10 days. And supposedly the first three days are ROUGH...
Basically, I am doing this as a massive detox since the Indy Marathon I ran some month back. Way too much booze, good wine, tasty but not very healthy food, nicotine, pot and large quantities of caffeine...I need to get my body back to square one. And then start P90X from there...

Anybody else done this? Sweet Lord, I feel like this is going to be some kind of Zen-like journey into my own resolve. No food for ten days? Fuuuuuuuck.....

EDIT: I am near the end of day one and I am realllllllllllllly hungry. OMFG
  2. Stop now.

It's not really harmful or anything but it is not really beneficial either.

It will just make you not like maple syrup on your pancakes anymore.
  3. If I could give you some advice I'd either say A) Don't do it, it sucks. or B) If you do decide to do it, don't play poker during it. You won't win.
  4. Is this really necessary or healthy? Serious question, just doesn't sound like something that would be very good for your body.
  5. Dumbest. Idea. Ever.

Seriously, this "cleanse" is just a fad. Here is what you are doing:

    1. Drinking lemonade.

    2. Eating sugar.

    3. Starving slowly.

    Sweat "cleanse."

  6. This sounds like something a girl would try...

Just cut out red meat / booze / caffeine / junk food / smoking for 1 week and see how you feel.

  7. There are benefits to taking away anything from the body for not an extended period of time, food and water included.

Good luck making through the first few days man, have heard that shit is the worst. Someone was on here maybe around a year ago that had completed it, not sure who......

You watch the youtube vids of people going through the cycle??

Let us know how that shit goes and like Mike said, pokers not a good idea during it, for sure during first few days.
  8. I saw this infomercial a while back, made me paranoid about all the gunky build up and also in my colon, would like to try something like it not sure if I could fade the 10 days without eating but keep us posted.
  9. Two words: Electrolyte imbalance!
  10. PM dpottz
  11. I could understand this for like a 2 day period to help clean you out abit. But after that point it just turns into a starvation diet.

    10 days is way unhealthy.
  12. Ive thought of doing something like this but never really had the will power. Id be better off laying off the booze/junk food for a week. eat extremely healthy and workout everyday.

Yeah, I am not thinking of working miracles. And this probably not my brightest scheme ever. But I have really punished my body with unhealthiness and need this more mentally than anything, I think.

I just want to get through something difficult and rigorous to put myself on the disciplined path again.

Maybe this is dumb does nothing. Maybe it does help me sluff off some toxin. IDK. But I do think, at the very least, the placebo effect will be beneficial, if nothing else....

  14. based on your posts, and what I know about you, I was going to guess that you were basically doing this just to test yourself. glglgl, let me how it goes. oh, and plz dont kill youself to finish if it isnt going well.

  16. Well if you are going for the psychological effect I guess that's ok.

But really, this is the equivalent of drinking the correct amount of water per day, except MINUS the eating healthy part. Lemon juice does nothing. It just makes the water taste not like water. The "acid" story is bs. Your stomach acid is a bagillion times stronger than some lemon juice in water. And all the maple syrup does is give you calories so you don't die of starvation. And really that's all sugar.

Besides that you are taking laxatives to remove "toxins" that don't even exist. It's just made-up-ness. Your body naturally removes toxins, and if there are heavy metals (like mercury or something) in your body, then no amount of shitting is going to remove them.

If you want to do a "detox," drink nothing but water and eat the correct amount of fruits, veggies, lean meats, carbs, etc. Cut out fast food and all junk food.

Your body will thank you later.

Yeah, again, I think this is the point...More a jolt to the will power, to get that shit in gear again, more than anything...

And I kno people might disagree, but I do think there is something to the concept of detox. And going through a brief period of fasting in order to get rid of a great deal many things in the body that don't really need to be there...

  19. bukowski101 made a post about doing this last yr and loved it.
BRIANYUTZ on the other hand has never done it,one of those ivory tower philosophers who knows it all about everything as second hand knowledge and is never wrong. The fact is brian are u gonna tell the thousands of people who experienced gain from it that they don't have there own feelings and there all delusional that it helped? You have never done it either correct? good stfu every post of yours,if you don't agree with someone you just try to destroy there ideas,i have yet to see a post where u ever made a mistake mr know it all.

in true brian yutz fasion i would expect him to pick apart this whole reply, god forbid you argue with mr perfect.
  20. For clarification, does the saltwater in the morning go down the purple chute or up the brown chute?
  21. This prolly does no great harm, but no great good either.

twice a week on the saltwater would be plenty.

There are not alot of "toxins" in your bowel. What you will see in your eliminations when you are on this diet will be from your liver not stuff that is residing in and polluting your colon.
  22. Jesus dude just get a colonic
  23. "Each day, I started with SWF"

nice, so like did you eat her or did she eat you?
  24. It's just occured to me that I must have really clean insides.

At least once a week, I piss fizzy bum gravy. Always after a hot curry. Far more enjoyable than lemonade for a week!

Um he said if he wanted to do it for the psychological benefit that it is fine. He isn't even being arrogant , just presenting medical facts. Did you even bother reading the link he posted from an M.D.?

Anyone with common sense should be able to take look at this and realize how silly it is. Sure it may give a psychological boost for a short period because you will lose a few pounds and feel good not having ate a bunch of junk but unless you are going to start to commit to a healthy lifestyle afterward it is pointless. I just think you'd get the same result from committing to eating healthy and exercising for the same period of time.
  26. A guy I know did this. Just make sure you don't go straight back onto meat and bread when it's over. You have to ease your way back on.
  27. I have been on a health kick since the new year, but don't do crazy shit.

    I feel awesome by
    1. No meat other than fish or chicken breasts.
    2. No deep fried food.
    3. No caffiene- that was a bitch I went from drinking like 2 energy drink and a starbucks a day to only drinking water and juice that I make with my juicer.
    4. No dairy.
    5. 2 juices a day (mostly Celery, beat, lettuce, and brussel sprouts) and lots of water.

I try to work out at least a little every day, and i've never felt better. I am going to try and stick with it the rest of my life- we shall see.
I've broken my cafiene rule 3 times, once was a coke when I went out to eat- and i may continue to break the rules, but I am taking all of those things out of my lifestyle.
  28. sounds really awfull [except for the caffiene part] no more steak ever? No thanks... no more bacon? No more tasty deep fried treats? Dont even get me started on brussel sprout juice.
  29. are dairy products unhealthy?

I immediately thought of Cyrus the Virus! Great line when he asks what the film on the plane is.
