One of my buddies in college about 4 years ago got pulled over for speeding and the officer happened to find a large amount of pot in the vehicle.
It turns out that the officer wrote and issued the ticket, and then searched the car and found the alleged mass quantity of pot. His attorney brought attention to this and the judge said any evidence found after the ticket was already issued had to be thrown out and he got away with only a speeding ticket.
I told that story because there is basically always some loophole if you have enough $$$ and/or a really good lawyer. -

Nope, the D.A. will simply ask for an "in camera" hearing. The C.I., D.A. and judge will have a hearing and you or your attorney cannot attend (but can submit questions). Unless the C.I. is a material witness to the actual service of the search warrant the judge will not disclose his/her identity.

Did you consider making a deal? Dont know how much you were allegadely dealing but it making enough loot to live in a McMansion and hire a top notch defense attorney may be woorth spending a few months in the slammer. With good behavior could prob only serve a year or several months.

Buchi - 99% of the "hate" is not because people hate you personally.
I didn't read the original post or know your history, but from what I've gathered - you were caught with a decent amount of pot and this isn't the first time you've had problems with the law.
Most reasonable people take responsibility for their own actions and deal with the consequences. We then (hopefully) learn from these mistakes and don't repeat them.
And here you are - making the same mistakes (you didn't learn your lessons) and now you are trying to find a way out (again) of taking your just punishment.
The hate isn't because people hate you personally. The hate is for the wrong things that you represent (not learning from past mistakes, not taking responsibility for your actions, and jeopardizing your relationship with your daughter).
The people who are supporting you now have your short term interests at heart. The people who are not supporting you have your long term interests at heart (and maybe your daughter's interests as well).
So let me close by not wishing you good luck - but rather let me wish your daughter good luck. I know your daddy has made some mistakes - but I hope he's smart enough to make the changes necessary for him to stay around and for him to be a good father.
