The "A Wrinkle in Time" series by Madeleine L'Engle is still one of my all time favorite reads. It's actually about time for me to pick them up again as it's been several years.
If you're a baseball fan read "Moneyball" and "Three Nights in August" back to back. Its quite the fascinating contrast to see two approaches to winning. -
That's why it was last on the list. I ordered them in order of most "fun" to least "fun" to read, with Battle Royale being the most fun/exciting/thrilling, and The Road being the most bleak/gray. That said, I still found even The Road to be a "fun" read, since it was violent/gruesome and very suspenseful at times (for me, anything which is well written, violent/gruesome, and super suspenseful all at the same time, is almost always going to be "fun" to read, from what I've noticed.)
