edit: first link wasn't working for gboro, so I also put it on the old zshare site I used to use. if the first link doesn't work, this should (apparently there are some NSFW ads on this site!!!): http://www.zshare.net/audio/52136005651a40f5/

<h4><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"><tbody><tr valign="middle"><td rowspan="2" align="left" valign="top"> </td><td colspan="2" align="left"><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"><tbody><tr><td>Re:LAG, TAG, Fulltilt and Stars. </td><td align="right" valign="middle">In reply to </td></tr></tbody></table> </td></tr><tr><td align="left">By rock3656 on 11-29-2008 8:57 PM </td><td align="right">Reply Quote </td></tr></tbody></table> </h4> <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"><tbody><tr valign="top"><td><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" height="100%" width="100%"><tbody><tr><td>Most players DON'T adjust accordingly to the different stages of tournaments and the ways that the antes effect their decisions in tournament poker. This can all relate back to Dan Harrington's Theory called M. M=The size of your stack/by the size of the pot before any action preflop(just the antes+SB and BB). As I started to play more poker online I eventually moved away from M, I felt as if it was outdated. In a way it was, the hand ranges that he gave almost became suboptimal he was playing wayyyy Too tight and was passing up too many +EV oppurtunities to gain chips. The best players on the internet have developed AMAZING hand ranges for various situations and variations of situations in tournament poker. They have evolved the M theory to also include RESHOVE stacks to combat the changes of opening ranges. They have turned the page of M to being super aggressive with stacks that would have been UNHEARD of to shove allin with the same ranges that they do today. Some players have actually done hours of handwritten math, and others(the cream of the crop IMO) have enough experience in tournament poker and enough GUTS to take the game of poker to another level by having amazing feel and ELECTRONIC PSYCHOLOGY to read peoples timing on the internet. The best players never stop learning they are ALWAYS one or two steps ahead of everyone else, both on theory and strategy(which IMO is the same thing.) Poker theory is an everchanging knowledge and adaption to the movement and flow of poker in general. FOLLOW YOUR GUT! LISTEN! because when you do even if your wrong you get a sense of CONFIDENCE in your game. Don't HOLD BACK! Believing in your gut is believing in your self. Above average tournament players(like myself) are a few steps behind the top players both mentally, and on strategy and theory. We don't invest our time well enough! We go through the motions too much, and we don't strive to best the best players we can be. This can relay back to APPlication of knowledge alot of the time too. Sorry for this BS rant but I have been having alot of realizations about my poker game and the game of poker in general and how you must stay ahead of the game itself. Try something new every session be unorthodox once in a while and keep yourself on your toes. The top players are one step ahead of you, and there beating you in the race. Don't waste the time you invest in this game, use it wisely, use it wisely.
