    hit a homer bringing in Bobby Knight for tournament analysis. Even though I can't stand him he's been very good...funny, good info, not cardboard like a lot of first time coaches/players on TV.

    He has been good, still looks like an old, mean, ornery s.o.b. though. He looks capable of going off at any second if the wrong question is asked.

    In fairness I think he did end up saying Scott May was his best recruit...but, yes, his hemming an hawing can get annoying...still think he's done well though.

    totally agree with ESPN making a good hire althought I actually like him

    I first became impressed w bobby knight when he did analysis for TBS for the world basketball championships in conjunction w the goodwill games back in the 80s He was so knowledable and witty

    Knight is a very smart man. he knows ESPN has gold in himself, so why give them what they want, he'll give vague, contrived responses, and hopefully they will let him do what he was hired for, talk about the games and players now, not B Knight, of his past etc, etc, just another way of knight getiing himself "ahead" of the media, he answers things the way HE wants, not what ESPN wants, he is also a peer of these coaches, while he is no longer a coachy, he has been close to alot of these guys for a long time, Im sure he doesnt want to pick sides, or knock a buddy just so ESPN, can say oh look bobby is goin off again, ESPN beats EVERY topic, issue to death, so I kinda like Knights little tangents ..... (there, five periods)
