  1. ........played tonight, who would win and by how many??

i have a $100 bet w/my friend and wanna see what the OT pop.thinks. keep in mind the point differential is key for either side

    thx!

    edit : neutral field

edit #2: seriously the bet is decided by OT. he visits here but doesnt post and says as long as we dont count anything dumb walrus says it's legit
  2. $100 bet - how do you determine the winner? Simulated Madden game?
  3. venue? both teams have loud home crowds.

We might find out when the superbowl rolls around ;-P

    the obv answer is Indy
  4. C hicag O
  5. It depends...

If the game was a regular season game Colts 28 Bears 20

If the game were a playoff game Bears 28 Colts 20
  6. Colts win handily. I'd take Colts -5.5
  7. The Colts D is weak, they gave up 31 to Denver, a team who didn't score more than 19 points against anyone yet this season. I think in the Super Bowl, the Bears(pending injuries) could beat Indy no problem.
  8. Colts
  9. Bears 24-17
  10. Here are some key matchups that I would look at. Chicago's pass rush vs. Indy's pass protection and Manning's ability to deliver accurate passes quickly. You have to figure Chi would bring a lot of pressure forcing Manning to make quick decisions, but that is Mannings biggest strength, so not neccesarily a mismatch IMHO. I cannot see any plausible scenario that Indy would be able to run on Da Bears, but if they can keep a balanced attack and have some rushing successs they could probably put up 20-30 points on Chicago's D.

If Chicago can protect Grossman, and let him have time to go through his reads, Grossman can be very accurate. Can Chicago figure out a way to block Freeny? I wouldn't bet on it, but it's the NFL so who knows? If Chicago can eat up the clock by running down Indy's throat, and don't turn the ball over, I would bet that they win this game. If Chicago cannot pressure Manning and bottle up either Harrison or Wayne I could see Indy winning.
  11. bears are losing in two weeks anyways , so its all a mute point .... :)
  12. *pinches CFH101*
  13. Bears 126-3
  14. a moot point too
  15. lol @jericho ...... cant wait for that game .. as long as neither team has a let-down - which is def possible this week ... Mia / Hou
  16. Indy wins by 7 and these are the two reasons the Chicago D would not be able to stop Indy: Joseph Addai and Dallas Clark. The Chicago D is not going to be able to pressue Peyton and cover these two guys. If they choose to go after Peyton, Addai and Clark have a field day. If they instead decide to cover these two guys, Peyton will have all the time in the world to hit Harrison and Wayne.
  17. Bears 49-17
  18. da colts
  19. colts had several D injuries yesterday

mike doss DB, johnathon Goddard DE, and Monte Reagor DT, and corey simon, who has been replaced by booger mcfarland (played yesterday for first time as a Colt)

they also scored more touchdowns in one game than denver had allowed all season prior to that game.

The colts lost to pittsburgh last year b/c vanderjadt choked when making a textbook kick.

The colts have played deep the last couple of seasons, the bears are young and will feel more pressue if the make it deep into the playoffs.
  20. BEARS by alot obv
  21. If Vegas were making a spread right now, on a neutral field, the spread would probably be Chicago -3 or thereabouts. The Colts are undefeated, but are not dominating like last year. The Bears are dominating, except for a game immediately before a bye week in which they didn't really show up to play.
  22. Come on now.

Peyton vs. Grossman, that's like a playboy bunny or Rosie O'Donnell.

Especially in a big game. Even though Peyton has struggled in big games, they were against some big time QBs (Brady, Roethlisberger come to mind).

    Colts 24
    Bears 14

  23. *tear*
  24. Shipit why do you only examine one position on the field?

With the exception of QB and WR the Bears are absolutely dominant.
  25. Bears 27 Colts 24

Would be a exciting game none the less.
  26. Bears 437
    Colts 8
  27. ^^finally a realistic answer.
  28. Bears 24 Colts 20
     1
  29. Chicago 37 Indy 17
  30. I know you said neutral field but knowing what field and knowing the weather is huge in this matchup.

For instance in Buffalo in January I'd say Bears 20-13, in the Superdome I say Colts 30-10.
