    <H1>

    THE LOBO WOLF</H1>
    <SPAN> </SPAN>

    <SPAN>Theres something about that lobo wolf,</SPAN>

    <SPAN><SPAN> </SPAN>as he stands there on the rim.</SPAN>

    <SPAN>And gazes out across the land,</SPAN>

    <SPAN><SPAN> </SPAN>his face to the cold and wind.</SPAN>

    <SPAN> </SPAN>

    <SPAN>For much of his life he walked alone,</SPAN>

    <SPAN><SPAN> </SPAN>unlike others of his kind.</SPAN>

    <SPAN>No real attachment has ever been his,</SPAN>

    <SPAN><SPAN> </SPAN>no lasting ties did he find.</SPAN>

    <SPAN> </SPAN>

    <SPAN>I wonder what he is thinking about</SPAN>

    <SPAN><SPAN> </SPAN>as he stands so still and strong.</SPAN>

    <SPAN>Is he looking where he is going,</SPAN>

    <SPAN><SPAN> </SPAN>or reflecting on where he has gone.</SPAN>

    <SPAN> </SPAN>

    <SPAN>I feel a kinship to the lobo wolf,</SPAN>

    <SPAN><SPAN> </SPAN>Standing on the ledge of stone,</SPAN>

    <SPAN>Perhaps his life was a lot like mine, </SPAN>

    <SPAN><SPAN> </SPAN>I too have walked alone.

    And for those of you with children, think about this one

    <SPAN> </SPAN>A BABY

    Did you ever watch a baby, crawl across the floor?

    <SPAN> </SPAN>Nothing could inhibit him, his goal was to explore.

    A piece of paper, a block of wood became his inspiration

    <SPAN> </SPAN>and each new thing to him a thing of fascination.<SPAN> </SPAN>

    Hed climb on things, perhaps fall off, and forever be undaunted,

    <SPAN> </SPAN>he knew no fear no boundary line, his courage often flaunted.

    Hed pet a dog or chase the cat, it really didnt matter,

    <SPAN> </SPAN>life to him an open feast, the whole house was his platter.

    But in the years that followed, he began to learn restraint.

    <SPAN> </SPAN>Sometimes it protected him but also served to taint,

    His thirst for searching, learning more, it soon began to falter.

    <SPAN> </SPAN>He then became an adult, his creativity in a halter.

    So now the challenge starts again, he must learn to be free,

    <SPAN> </SPAN>to quest again for knowledge, see the forest not the tree.

    To open up his mind again and search for fascination and

    <SPAN><SPAN> </SPAN>let all things around him become again his inspiration</SPAN>
