This should proally go in the off topic section but since its so important i figured it would be ok to put it here.
If you live in nevada and are voting today, vote yes for question 7 !
Thats all, have a great day. -
What about questions 1-6? Just what is this question 7 you speak of? Does it have anything to do with poker?
-
kind of....
-
if hannity told you to vote for it youd do it in 0.8 seconds...
-
What issues does question 7 concern?
-
good idea akesis ? fyi, question 7 will legalize MJ for adults 21+ and tax and regulate it like achohol....take MJ out of drug dealers and gangs and make it tightly regulated. Its time to stop allowing gangs and criminals make millions off something people will do regardless, we should tax it it and regulate it so its harder for minors to get. Question 7 will make it so it can only be sold in stores specially made for selling MJ and you have to be 21 just to get into the store. It also increases the penalitys for people selling it without a license or selling it to minors.
-
who are the low class republicans going to look down on if you stop putting petty criminals in jail?
-
as a regular vistor to vegas, I sure hope this happens
-
that would keep the guys from the movie Clerks sitting in the back puffing it all away.
the states can pass all they want, it wont matter til the feds say its ok. i live in colorado and we know something about that. we voted on it before. -
You make a good point but its not completly true. 1. Colordado never voted to legalize it, no state has except for nevada. 2. Look at california, medical mj is illegal federally but theres more pot clubs in san francisco than their are mcdonalds. yes it would still be illegal federally but that doesnt prevent a state from making their own laws and enforcing their own laws. California is a perfect example of this. In oakland california there is a pot store across the street from a police station, operating in plain view and oakland PD hasnt and wont do anything about it cause cops have to enforce state laws. Only the dea or federal agents can come in and enforce federal laws, and they simply dont have the resources to go around shutting down every single store, especially when the state tells them to go away.

Just got back from my NV/CA trip & couldn't believe my eyes when I saw an MJ store in California (complete with a 'Can-eh-bus' logo on the storefront). Since curiosity killed the cat, I checked out the establishment. The little bags looked like something Philip Morris would produce with warning signs stamped on. I asked them about the recent Supreme Court ruling stating that MJ is not a proven medication & California would have to close down these stores; "We live in California, they (The courts) can't tell us what to do". When pressured by the Fed's to force store closures, Ca basically told them they didn't have the resources to acquiesce & told them to do it if they wanted to. Very interesting watching different states adopt this philosophy on MJ as others go in different directions. Will also be interesting to see if the Peoples Republic of Washington follows suit with MJ while they outlaw poker & severely restrict smoking. Say what you want about liberal democrats, they sure are fun to watch in a windstorm.

we get to vote on legalizing MJ today in Colorado also.....go reality....go sensability
might soon be...legally..

Alaska has voted for legalization in the past, the same year nevada first tried to legalize. (in response to as in 2006 saying that no state has besides nevada).
Anyways, if your in Colorado please vote yes on 44. -
Really colorado is trying to do the same thing ? I'm pretty heavily involved in these type of things and receive all kinds of mail and email and havent heard a single thing about this in colorado. Does anyone have more information on it ? I have a hard time beleiving that they are voting to out right legalize it when I havent heard anything about it from any of the lobbying groups i'm a member of. Any more information would be appreciated. Thanks!

Medical MJ is ok in Oregon. You can grow 3 plants I think. Pretty easy to get a card as well.
-
Yeah alden, medical mj is legal in i think its 11 states, maybe 12...i dont remember the exact number. South dakota is also voting to legalize medical mj today, they might be the first state to ever reject a voter initated medical mj law. The feds have been spending millions of tax payers money in south dakota to advertise against this, this is why it might be the first state to vote no on medical mj that has had the oppturnity to vote on the topic. Theyve even gone as far as flat out lying by saying no medical association supports medical mj, which is a flat out lie. Some of the largest medical assoations in america support medical marijuana, including the american nurses association and the american doctors assiocation.

Yes, colorado is trying to legalize today. Not the same as nevada though. Only legalizing possesion of 1 ounce or less for persons over 21 for personal use. Growing and selling will still be illegal.
The following is the exact wording of the amendment:
"An amendment to section 18-18-406 (1) of the Colorado revised statutes making legal the possession of one ounce or less of marihuana for any person twenty-one years of age or older."
I think it's kind of funny how they spelled marijuana with an H. -
SAFER...same group that pushed it through in Denver. A safer alternative to alcohol. Although i personally like a beer and a joint.
