  1. Something that seemed interesting to me. Since we typically think in images and sounds if you were never exposed to colors sounds ect what would your thoughts be like?

Reason: oh 'thoughts'. those too i think
  4. in all honesty.... i dont think deaf/blind ppl have thoughts...... not trying to be messed up but you learn from a young age how to coprehend shit..... i highly doubt a person is capable of learning brail without hearing or seeing someone tell/signal them what it means..... so being deaf/blind to me is prob like being han solo cryogenically frozen..... but worse cuz han was prob unconcious the whole time right?
  5. I can't comprehend that they wouldn't think or it would be nothingness, you mind would do something. Which made me wonder also what would they dream about?

  6. Repost.

Being born without 2 primary human senses, the person would experience life via their functional senses, presumably mostly feel and smell. Language/communication would be learned via these senses, and their thoughts would be in this context as well. I'm sure it would really really suck, but since loss of one of your senses heightens your remaining functional senses, can you imagine how keen their senses of smell/taste are? They probably have amazing experiences with food/wine, etc that we could never even imagine.

  7. I dunno i bet they still get pictures envisioned in their head. After touching things and what not for so long I would think theyd start to form pictures. I'm glad I was born without any defects tho thats for sure. well 8 toes tho

  9. i dont think they can envision pictures in their head per se. I think their "visualization" of things would be based on shape and texture as interpreted through their sense of touch. Sort of like a bat can fly around and perceive its surroundings based on echolocation, I'm sure they don't create a visual image of their surroundings in their head, they merely process sonic stimuli and understand the nature of their surroundings through the context of sound.

For normal people, things like memories are mostly stored/recalled based on visualizations, but can still be qualified by sounds or smells. You might associate a certain smell with a place or event from the past, and while the smell triggers the memory, it is most likely immediately joined by visualizations as well. A person who has never "seen" anything will most likely process thoughts and memories based solely in the context of their active senses, the same way they process new stimuli/information on the immediate conscious level.
  10. I'm going to go with "not well"
  11. I think they are in constant state of synesthesia.
  12. if they visualize anything what would it look like? how would they learn colors?
