Idk...maybe it's just me but anyone willing to risk their life on a daily basis for 35k a year(generous estimate) gets a little lead way in my book. Not saying they are always right but usually they are.
And yes I have every right to hate cops. Been arrested multiple times and I have a felony.
Bottom line: I shouldn't have been fucking around doing what I was doing. -

cop was simply trying to arrest a woman, friend intervenes by pushing the cop, cop pushes woman in the face to get her away, woman wails away on the cops face. he needed to subdue her. what is he supposed to do, let her punch him 5 more times while he tries to crawl across the table and try to talk her in to stopping hitting him?
100% justified imo.
if he would've tazed her, the same people would be bitching about the same thing being an excessive use of force. -

I like all the armchair quarterbacks online that talk about what the cop should or shouldn't do, based on their extensive knowledge of physical altercations. (aka, if you don't have any experience in physically trying to intervene in these types of situations, perhaps you should take notes and shut up. If cops all start thinking like many of you suggest, we're gonna have a lot more altercations go south)
Grab at a cop = expect to get pushed, slapped, shoved, punched, tackled, tazed, or shot. Try to hit a cop and expect even worse. If you're a girl, expect the same thing, but account for your makeup smearing in the process. Anyone who has ever dealt with drunk and violent females can attest to the fact that misjudging their capabilities is an absolute recipe for disaster.
If a cop wants to arrest you - even if the charge is total bullshit - go with 'em and behave. If it's truly bullshit, then there are legal remedies for the situation and the cop will receive repercussions (in the long run). The ignorance in this video is exemplified by pretty much everyone other than the cop. Could the cop have handled the situation differently? Probably. But that's an entirely different question and one that probably nobody ITT is qualified to answer.
People blasting the cops need to get off their high (and absurdly ignorant) horse. -

Not a fan of 95% of cops...but I see nothing wrong. The police are trying to do business here, and some idiot ( male or female doesn't matter ) is getting in the way, and getting violent...sorry but you get what you deserve, and this dumb bitch deserved to be punched.

First off, a policeman should never punch anyone in the face. They are trained, or should be trained in how to restrain people causing as little serious harm as possible. What happens if this woman has a brain haemorrhage and dies? is it still ok? because she put her hands on a cop? do me a favour. And don't give me that he didn't hit her that hard, that is irrelevant, and from what i can see he put some juice into it. People have been seriously hurt/died from lighter punches than that.
Obviously this woman is a complete dick, don't get me wrong. But if you decide to be a police officer, then you realise you will be dealing with people who dislike you, who are assholes. People who will spit at you, and occasionally try to fight with you. And who you may well want to punch in the face from time to time. But you shouldnt fucking do it!
This guys is not restraining anyone. He is punishing her! Is he a judge now?
Not only should he lose his job, he should go to jail for assault!
And some of you should be ashamed of yourselves for defending him... -

i kinda disagree here. if im defending myself i can see it as being fair to punch someone in the face. because i have no training in any other way to do it. im quietly confident police officers do though.

I agree police officers are trained to handle situations differently. Main difference IMO being they carry guns. Cops in American prisons don't carry guns because if an inmate gets it from them, game over. Have to disagree with the seven shades. I know your just expressing but it's expressing in the "Oh poor innocent woman gets hit by big mean bully of a cop man." She aggravated a situation that would not of happened if she had not initiated it. Story really seems simple. A unidentified woman walked to an on duty police officer during an investigation(Interrogation or whatever you want to call it) and interfered with the situation. I mean I'd just say that NOBODY should EVER "FTFO". But, if you think a police officer should never "FTFO", but you say that "I may well"(FTFO), then do you think lower of me because I'm not a cop? Why can I flip out but a cop shouldn't? Training? If training can do that why not make it mandatory?
