    I was thinking more along the lines of, "I find it funny when people say, "I'm not racist" because who gives a shit?" Life is short, too damn short to worry about offending people. Lots of things are funny and almost all of them offend someone so fuck it. Tell the joke, say whatever. I don't have the time nor the will to filter through what I think is funny to see if it will offend anyone.

    I can tell you from personal experience that I get more respect from blacks for telling a "racially insensitive joke" and saying the word "blacks" than you would saying "african-american" and tiptoeing around racism.

    Oh and by the way, blacks know about black jokes. They are aware they exist. And not just because I've told them all of them.

    Am I racist for the snickering slightly at this today:

    Walking into the Publix (grocery store) today, there was an elderly black man wheeling out a grocery cart, and the only thing in it was a watermelon in the baby seat.
