yeah, i did this as a kid too. i'm pretty sure all the other groups just had their parents design their bridges though because no way elementary kids were thinking of bridge designs that well done. glad i'm not the only nerd here.

we did this in school with tooth picks and glue only. and we were only able to work in class so it took over a whole week. then we used books and string to see who could build the strongest bridge by destroying them. was pretty cool
one of few things I will remember from middle school.
