    One of my families choices to move too. Any info on area? What area to look for houses? Elementary schools?

    i was born and raised in clearwater....its a very nice city and i wish i still lived there (alll my friends and family do but im stuck here in crappy atlanta) but anyways, plumb elementary school is prolly the best public elementary school in the area...i went to eisenhower elementary but its pretty ghetto over there...ur best off livin over by plumb since the area is nice and the school is great....also upon graduation from elementary the kid will go to oak grove middle (which is the best public middle school in the area as well) if you live over by plumb...other places to consider living would be countryside, safety harbor, dunedin (i dont know too much about the schools on that side of town other than safety harbor middle)....its a really nice area though, im jealous that u get to move there and i dont lol....oh and pm me if you have any more questions bout clw or if u actually end up movin down there

    I work in the Clearwater area (Largo). I like it.

    Moved down from MI in March, so I still don't know about schools and what not, but it seems nice. Just had dinner at Clearwater Beach last night, seemed like a lot of nice restaurants down that way.

    Although it is crawling with scientology weirdos, downtown clearwater is pretty nice. I only see it when I'm driving through it to clearwater beach (which is awesome btw). I live in safety harbor but I wouldn't recommend it over clearwater. Tarpon Springs or North St. Pete are the nicest areas in the county imo.

    Oh and Safety harbor middle > oak grove middle
