"Such living conditions have been used as a method of 'psychological warfare' against prisoners, in order to both destroy the morale of inmates and break the spirit of individuals," Richards wrote in a court filing.

    prison is so unfair

  2. Wants more porn so his cellmates stop fucking him six ways from sunday 7 days a week

  3. Yeah, I feel real sorry for him. Hey, I got an idea. Live like an honest working person, stay out of trouble and go down to your local 7/11 gas bar and freely buy whatever the hell you want.

The guy is a jackwagon and they should videotape him unwillingly make gay porn. "Want porn? Watch this you prick".
  4. I don't understand people. Prison exists because we as a society believe they can be rehabilitated yet in the same breath we deny them the things that humans require. Sexual stimulation and release is one of the very foremost needs for any person and we are making our males convert and act in homosexual acts to receive that primal need. That's no better than treating them like animals. Which if we are to do(treat them like animals) then we should just do what we do to animals that act up, put a bullet in their head or drugs in their vein. If we aren't going to do that then we should also not strip away their humanity.

  8. I think prison exists because back in the day it was to help protect society from the offenders. Now, the government and all their agencies say "it is a rehabilitation facility" because let's be honest, it is job security for many, many people.

Seriously, I am a project manager and just finished constructing a youth detention facility. Not only is it nicknamed "The Spa" but it also cost over $1M per bed (occupant). I have 3 beds in my house and I can guarantee it doesn't cost $1M.

I see your point about rehab but I think there are too many re-occuring clients and rehab just becomes an excuse or reason for the reoccurence.

that's because your bed doesn't have a high tech switchboard controlling every door in your house, guard towers, and whatever the hell else is extremely expensive to build a jail. people who talk like jail is some kind of privilege tilt the shit out of me.
  12. The article straight up says you can get porn in prison.

Yeah, my house also also doesn't have a stone facade wall. Pretty nice unnecessary architectural feature. Oh, and the list is much larger than a single wall.

Buy them a plane ticket to a deserted island. Much cheaper than a bed you and I essentially end paying for costs.

Find out EXACTLY what is involved in one of these facilities before you tilt.
  15. I used to do therapy in the state and federal prisons in this area and the funniest thing I saw was a hurricane drill where 1500 inmates sat in the hallway with their mattresses on their heads. We were 150 miles inland.

    your argument is invalid.

and how does finding out EXACTLY what is involved in the building process have anything to due with the tilt brought on by your stupidity? pretty sure a stone wall would fit under the category of "whatever the hell else." sick rebuttal though. if it's so great at "the spa" why don't you check in for a bit and get yourself a facial

send them all to an island....ffs
  17. State prisons allow inmates to possess pornographic material with a few exceptions. Playboy and Penthouse magazines are allowed, spokesman John Cordell said.

There's a lot of people who view prisons as a way to punish individuals, not as a way rehabilitate them.

if you're going to make it only a binomial choice, I'll take the former.

  20. Okay, I can see him being able to make a case for "sexual" deprivation, but sensory? Urm . . . NO.
    Strike 1

Also, if it is only this county that disallows pr0n in prisons, then his suit should be against the county, not the State.
    Strike 2

Pr0n is decidedly NOT a Human Right.
    Strike 3

    . . . and GTFO, jailbird.

this is true, but unless you are planning on keeping someone in prison forever (huge $$$$$), you try to rehabilitate them in hopes that they never return.
  23. Do not commit a crime. problem solved.

No, prisons exist to separate people those in charge find reprehensible from the general public. it is nothing more than a method of control and is often arbitrarily based on ideas of morality as defined by the ruling class. Its much easier to control people by hiding them away in prisons, than it is to treat them like humans and create a logical plan of punishment/rehabilitation for what was done.

its a lot easier to put the peasant that steals a loaf of bread in prison and define their actions as wrong than it is to address the conditions that lead to that theft.
