considering a friend of mine bowled a 300 this weekend (it was pretty fucking crazy), I was just wondering what most OT'ers high scores in real bowling are.
ive put up a few 220's but highest thus far is 242. -
204 while drunk off my ass, cant bowl 180 sober
-
178 drunk off my ass as well usually bowl around 140
-
My best is 168. I'm happy as long as i get more than 100.
-
i think most non-bowlers, like myself, are.
-
I suck, but my dad just won the city championship for the 3rd time. He's bowled several 300s, 299s, and 298s.
I smoke his ass on the wii though. -
279
i still don't know how i did it -
I bowled a 224 once. It was crazy. Usually I'm happy if I break 100.

6 300s, 2 800s. Although the six are by no means anything in todays game as alot of guys do that in a season now. however, i do share a record that can never be beaten. me and a friend bowled 300 in the same game in a doubles league. we were the 2nd team ever to do it in league play, 3rd overall team to accomplish this feat in the history of bowling. Now with resin bowling equipment, there are close to 30 teams that have done it now. one of the reasons i dont bowl anymore
-
^ He is correct that 6 is not a big deal any longer. I manager a little over 12 before I got out of the game, but this was during the years of urethane, short oil, walled and unwalled lanes and certainly before equipment became what it is today. Best bowl I shot the most with was a Columiba Black U Dot, this ball today would be like throwing hard rubber or plastic compared to how the current balls hit and drive.

Ballistik...have you ever thought about a Sport/PBA experience league? My last average on a house shot was over 220 and now I bowl PBA experience league and am averaging 191. It definitely takes the funny business out of the game and forces you to be accurate and consistent. I am a very good house shot bowler because I don't have the best accuracy and consistency. So the Sport/PBA experience is humbling. But if you don't miss the game at all, this is a moot point.

wade, yes i def like that idea, but the participation in those leagues around here bruise too many egos. it used to be the more u practiced and put into your game, you could have an advantage over the other guy. now its just buy a game in a box. and being in the biz for over 20 years, i really dont miss it, just miss hangin with the guys. its like at one time you only had to really compete with like 30% of the league for jackpots, now its like well over 90%, one ten pin and your out of the game.

My only goals for bowling when I do it is to break 100 and to not fall down while I do it. Poly because I always have thought of bowling as a drinking game. :)
-
Been bowling for about 18 years, multiple 300's and 800's. Not really bowling much this year due to some injuries and lack of desire to compete in a carry contest nightly. I'm going to take some time off and see if I miss it.
-
i just bowled my 3rd 300 bout a month ago. only 1 is sanctioned tho :( and that was when i was 16. just started bowling again recently. missed it alot. my entire family owns bowling here in Tucson so i was bred into it. average 212 on the easy ass house shot here. but gonna try the pba experience league starting in may. should be interesting, uses all 4 pba patterns. expecting to average bout 150
-
I bowled a 264 once.
-
can someone explain to me wtf an 800 is?
-
An 800 is an award score for a 3 game series. It's typically held in higher regard then a 300 because you have to average 267 over 3 games.
