How many times do players catch the ball and never tuck it? The NCAA rules website is down so I can't post it but if you watch any amount of football whatsoever you should know that you do not have to tuck the ball.

U and another Bama homer are the only 2 disputing that it was not conclusive whereas everyone else is being objective... Like I said, I have nothing vested in either team whatsoever so I am completely unbiased but I can call it as I clearly see it, not as I want it to be. Kinda funny that you're trying to call me out on something that you are 100% wrong about... Watch the rest of football for the evening and see if every ball is tucked or called incomplete, seriously.

Is this a spelling contest. Because if so we usually start by with our names. and you can't get that right.

and i'm not disputing shit, unless someones trying to prove you have a modicum of intelligence. that i'd dispute. I think it was a pick.

THE REFS WHO GET PAID TO MAKE THE CALLS AND ARE PROs said it wasn't though. yes they get calls wrong. yes replay gets calls wrong, but you're a dumbass if you think it's indisputable.

You don't have to tuck the ball to have possession, BUT if you initiate the movement possession is after it's completed. i didn't make the shit up. it's just the second game this year i've seen it called. verne was prolly alluding to the same game earlier in the season. you can HERE him say "yeah but he's in the process of tucking it".

    be less of a douche.

Video wasn't clear enough for the replay ref to overturn(in his opinion), thus the ruling on the field stands.

IMO if it had been called an interception on the field, it would have stood as an interception

Dude, I get that but an INT is an INT, whether it is called on the field or not... It was conclusive... If I felt it was 90% or even 95% then play stands as called on the field but I have no doubt that it was an INT... I haven't watched scoreboard shows but I am looking fwd to see what herbstreit says b/c basically he is CFB GOD

well ldo hes unbiased like the rest of us
duno why bama fans are so upset over this. its not a dis to your team. it was a ridiculously fortunate call. no one is (or should be atleast) hating on the team itself.

was OP this fired up about the 2 missed replays in the Iowa game last week?

    I don't know, but I hope so.

I think there is a lot of Bama hate going around
  6. Funny thing is I like Bama... I hate Fla and LSU though that has more to do with whooping my team but I have always liked the tide...

I did not see the Iowa game last week but I am fired up about any call that I think is unjust when there is replay in hand... I mean that play in the playoffs with the Yankees down the left field line really pissed me off but w/o replay it's wasted energy... GL

    Wut?

It's not Bama hate. Bama probably wins that game whether or not they give LSU the interception.

Fact of the matter is that it was a clear interception, and Lundquist and Danielson are wrong on the rule. You don't need to have the ball tucked to have possession. As long as you have clear control of the ball and it's not being bobbled or moving, it's a catch. He got both feet down in bounds (despite only needing one) with possession of the ball.

I'm not hating on Bama at all. It just annoys me, as an unbiased observer, when idiots blow obvious calls. Like I said, I think Alabama almost surely holds on to the win with or without that play being ruled incomplete. He did get both feet down with possession, though. Seems pretty obvious to me.

  8. The review system gives the refs a bailout on some totally botched calls.

I think it fixes more wrong than it misses rights.

the problem is, the Replay ref makes that decision, not you

The ruling on the field is what comes into play here, not the rules of tucking or whatever.

This play was less influential on the outcome on the game than the running into the kicker on a 4 and 6 which led to this drive.
  10. i liked the call because it helped bama -7.5, LOL @ ud and his -7, but he was clearly in bounds with 2 feet. Thanks refs
  11. Turns out they (edit: might have) made the right call. Did Julio touched the ball first while his left foot was out of bounds? Ball is considered out of play once he touches it.

    What do ya'll think?
