  1. I am trying to get the internet at my parents old house. they moved and have yet to sell the house so i stay there sometimes and want internet access. there is no cable or phone service in the house. i have seen the ones with no phone line or cable required but from what I have read they can be expensive to install. Should I just get a cheap phone line through my local provider for like $15 a month and then find a good, cheap DSL service? Is there a better option? Im really dumb when it comes to stuff like this. Know this is a boring topic and I probably wont get any responses but any help at all would be appreciated. I'll send someone 5 bucks if I can get a good answer on what my best option is.

  3. You don't have to have phone service for DSL to work. I believe it's called Naked DSL or Dry DSL. You do have to be within certain distance of the phone company CO(Central Office) for service.

  5. Check out how much wireless internet is going to cost you. Alternativly you can upgrade your cell plan to unlimited data and use thetering (some phones can do it thought USB as well) to share the connection with your computer.
