    So unfortunate for his family as well as the community of A-P. Ed Thomas was a great individual and looked up to by many. Nothing will ever justify what has happened.

    This is so disgusting.

    From what I know of him, he has done nothing but good for many many people his whole life. I know many people that are very close to him and his sons.

    Pretty much nothing is starting to make sense.

    The gunman, identified by authorities as 24-year-old Mark Becker, a former student who played football for Thomas.

    I thought they used to use be in our conference after I left high school, maybe not, but then again maybe as Eddyville-Blakesburg is now 1A and so is A-P...who knows...but this is truly a tragedy

    I'm pretty sure they have moved between 1A and 2A since combining years back. So awful to think how an individual can want to take the life of someone that has helped make a positive impact on so many different peoples' lives......
