IQ versus life-span hypothetical

    ftr this isn't something i've just thought of. i came up with it when i was at school and i'm still not 100% certain of my answer.

    start with the number 200. that is the total of your IQ and life span (assume you're healthy and totally compos mentis right up until death). what's your answer?

    edited to clarify: you get to decide what your IQ (constant, from birth to death) is and your life span is, but your choices must equal 200. Genius who could slightly alter the world for the better but dead at 40? Retard who gets to see how the world changes over 125+ years (as well as seeing your great-great grandkids and the ability to experience more that life has to offer)?

    my choice is somewhere around the 130-70 (IQ-life span) region

    i think you might have misunderstood the question (read: i explained it poorly)

    basically you get to decide for yourself what you want your IQ or life-span to be, within the parameter that both must equal 200

    Since a person's IQ can change with age, I still don't quite get the question.

    I'll just take this moment to say that the roads would be a lot safer if IQ tests were included in driver's license exams. No one with an IQ under 100 should be allowed to operate a vehicle heavier than a Big Wheel.

    What if you decide get have 180 IQ, and that would be smart enough to invent a time machine before you turn 20. Then you go back in time and kill OP before he makes this retarded post, and live forever?

    and im pretty sure IQ doesnt fluctuate too much unless you fuck your dome up w/ concussions or drugs...

    Well, I was wondering that earlier today when I was playing winter league golf and it was pissing down. However, hopefully playing St. Andrews later this year to celebrate my 50th will make up for that.
