I second the nomination. It's like pointing to a rapist and blaming all men or pointing to a southern Ku Klu Klux and saying all white southerners are racist.

    sigh at generalizations
  6. RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE

  7. bad thread.
  8. butnahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

couldn't resist b/c of the thread title, but lol, nice bigotry
  9. thread title ? thread content

Where is there any mention of Islam in that article? Because of his name? "Malik" is the name of that guy on ER. And "Nadal" is French for "dreamy tennis guy", you dumbass.
  10. I'm sure most want peace as much as we do, but this guy converted to Islam while on tour in Iraq, as reported by ABC news, makes me wonder about the driving force for his actions.

report I saw said he was born in Jordan and was a Dr.

obv as practiced by most of the world's muslims, it is a religion of peace, Unfortunately there are a lot of people who are taking their cues from radical imams who want to take over the world, or at least large parts of it.

    lol news

I have a sneaking suspicion that said report is mixing people up, since one of the first people that pop up when you google the name is one Dr. Malik Hassan, who is most def not the shooter.

  13. I'm in no way agreeing with or condoning what the OP is saying. However, I find it interesting that people scream bigotry and get their panties in a wad when someone makes a statement like this about Islam. The same people don't have that reaction, however, when someone says the exact same thing about Christianity. It seems that you can't have it both ways.
Can we concede that individuals of any particular religion can do bad things that go against the teachings of said religion? Or take it a step further and say that even groups of people can take a good religion in theory and twist it into some perverse version of the religion that has little to do with how it was intended to be practiced? Humans are so frustrating! Sigh.

    you're missing the point

I would have the same reaction if someone used the fact that a killer's name was John to try to assert that Christianity is not a peaceful religion.

    You're right. F all religions.

  16. I thought in its truest form Islam was a religion of peace. I don't know much about it. It would be interesting to know that % of Muslams that are extremist terrorists to those that are peaceful non extremists.
  17. I see what you're saying. I assumed it had been established that the shooter is Muslim? If that's not the case, and OP was basing his comments on the way the shooter's name sounds, then just disregard my comments. Although I do think my point is a valid one ;)
  18. op is a retard.

all religions are peaceful by nature. (except maybe those religions tht worship satan or something). the word islam actually means peace. just because someone from the billion + membership of a religion is a retard and wants to go killing people, does not make their religion non peaceful. obv example is retarded op (from whatever religion he subscribes to, because i dont judge the other members of your religion by your obv retardedness)

    You're right. F people.

    FYP

(Actually, I love people, but they do tend to ruin perfectly good concepts) :)
  20. I have to admit the first thing i thought was this is either some crazy american soldier that went psycho or some undercover islma extremist who infultrated the american military and went on a rampage.

    this.
  22. honestly these replies make me laugh, lots of hypocrites, there are tons of threads created in OT espousing the notion that all religions are bad and are the cause of war, genocide, etc...the SECOND that i mentioned something about islam though, out comes all the politically correct B.S.

ok so lets look past 9/11, "martyrs" blowing up kids at markets, videotaped beheadings, etc...i mean i dont want to generalize (lol)...can someone here tell me what the koran teaches should be done to non-muslims? i think some here would be surprised

ok, so islam really is a religion of peace, so that would mean that after the dust settles on this tragedy and needless massacre, if it turns out shooter was muslim and had religious motivations, there should be a huge outpouring of muslims and muslim leaders denouncing the shooter's actions, right? someone let me know if this happens, or if it has ever happened after one of these "martyrs" committed these types atrocities in the past

  23. foxnews reporting from a COL that worked with him verifying that he made anti-American statements and suggested that all muslims to rise up and attack US troops. But I'm sure he's just a psychiatrist with PTSD....
  24. You have it wrong though. It isn't the religion that you are talking about. Its the wackjob extremists of the religion.

i dunno about all those tons of threads, but theres a difference in saying all religions are bad and cause death rather than one religion is bad and causes deaths.

like, i can say i believe people are inherently evil and should not be trusted... and thats just an opinion. it becomes quite different, though, if i say black people are inherently evil and should not be trusted.

so, as suspected, you are in fact racist and stupid.
