urgh......I really need to set my mind and do this. I quit smoking on October 1 of last year, and the goal was to start doing this as soon as I beat cigs. 7 months later and i'm still being my fatty self.
-
46 ? meh
-
Just hate yourself and make yourself do it for like 3 weeks. After that, you get addicted and you will want to go workout and be healthy everyday.

dude... i havent talked to you in a while. How skinny have you got? im assuming u got me beat. -
im where i was in september sadly, down 60. the knee injury was a big setback, but my eating has been so bad lately. its a much better 220 than it was when i first got there tho, been lifting a ton and my arms are pretty sick.
46 in that short period is ridic tho, well done buddy ! -
wooo I know you're a smart dude and it sounds like you know exactly what you're doing.
gl with the rest of the transformation
and 46 lbs in 90 days is a deficit of something like 1750 calories of fat per day. even more considering the gains of muscle mass in that time. that's dedication bro!!!! -
I have no clue how much muscle weighs, but ive def gotten much stronger. Added about a 50% weight increase from when I started to my major muscle groups. I was super weak tho. Almost embarrassingly weak.

For example, I use dumbells for a ton of stuff (i just like that i work each side independently) and benching ive went from 35's to 55/60's, curling: 25's to 35/40's, tris: 40 to 60. -
jay, your impressive and inspiring story has made me feel worse about myself. thanks a lot, dick.
;-) congrats tho -
keep it up dude.
I'm curious as to what your eating habits have been. I've been floating around 210-215 (6'1) for the past 2 years and I'm trying to get back to under 200 (I'm shooting for 195). I've been playing a lot of basketball so I know I need to change the way I eat - so what have you been eating for the past 3 months? -
now all you have to do is stop pissing yourself, and you are on your way...
congrats man, that's great -

It got kind of annoying because no one ever really want to listen. EVERYONE wants to explain to you why they cant lose weight, and how im so much different. It got to the point where I just stopped being nice. After like the 3rd woman said to me, "this is why i hate guys, you do it so easy." I just started coming back with, "no, it wasnt fucking easy at all. Im at the gym 3 hours a day 6 days a week. You do exactly what I do, and you would cut weight too. Get off your ass, put down the cheeseburger... and quit with the excuses."
Thats basically a paraphrased version of what I tell people now. And the best part is when out-of-shape people try to give me tips. I just dont listen anymore, im like "ive just lost 40 pounds... i think i got a good idea. Thanks tho."
Sorry for the rant... but it annoys the fuck out of me. My sister and sister-in-law are the absolute worst. I could write a book with their excuses. My favorite so far was this gem by my sister when i asked her to come to the gym with me one day. "i would, but I already showered." My fucking head almost exploded lol.
I dropped 40 lbs last year and the fattie at my office said basically the same thing to me about how it's so easy for guys. I was like, "uhhhh, it wasn't easy." I hate the tendency of people wanting to trivialize others' progress because they don't want to admit their own lack of motivation.
Keep on keepin' on, Jay! Congrats! -
it's not rape if at least one of you is drunk obv.
-
damn are you going to rebound bad, but until then congrats and get all the pussy you can.

Edited By: Jaybone2315 Apr 20th, 2011 at 12:09 AMimo the two biggest things are portion control and what you drink. Other then when I drink alcohol, I have cut out everything except water. Propel Zero is all I drink. I buy cases of it and drink nothing else. Occasionally ill have some milk, but thats pretty much my only cheat.Originally Posted by STOPPER19

As for food. It would take a while to type it out, but the basics are this. Every morning I eat oatmeal. One serving of plain oatmeal with brown sugar and cinnamon. Occasionally substituting some sort of egg breakfast like a sandwich. For lunch its usually a sandwich (never use mayo) or a salad with chicken or tuna. Then ill have a snack in between lunch and dinner. Usually just some fruit, like an apple, graps, pineapple, ect. Then dinner is some sort a meat (mostly chicken) or fish or pork with a side of vegetable.
I basically dont eat out ever anymore. And I dont eat any shitty snacks or just randomly snack on shit when Im bored. Thats a key part of too. Dont eat just to eat.
I used to be able to slam down a whole 12" hoagie no problem, but now that ive changed the way i eat... im stuffed after half of it is done.
Thats basically all of it in a quick couple paragraphs.
lol... so this too. fml. Im working on it tho, so quit hating haha.
Ive been hearing this ever since I lost 5 lbs after week one. 3 months later... and everyone is still wrong. If I stick to my diet and my workout, I cant imagine gaining it back. Only way I rebound bad is if I get lazy and go back to the way I was eating and being lazy before. -
Who are you?
-
I'm just saying, idk how long you can keep up 3 hours a day 6 days a week once you gain full-time employment again, and a gf again.

I already stopped going for 3 hours a day (went for 3 today tho cause I havent been there in 4 days). Some days im in and out of there in an hour or hour and a half if I dont have time.

For the past 2-3 weeks ive slacked off. Id say in the last 20 days or so, ive drank for 15 of them, didnt stick to my diet that well, and maybe been to the gym for 11-12 of them. And I managed to maintain my weight. -
now all you got to do is take that same motivation and mindset towards finding a good job that will stabilize your career. good shit man.
im in a rut as well. my problem is my weight is fine, but i just have that beer gut.. im same height, about 168.. its just such a pain in the ass to dedicate myself to anything because either my kid has sports, im out of town for work, or my friends want to do anything.. and then on the occasion my bitch wife wants to talk to me, well yeah that takes up time as well. so fuck me, i need to get the "click".. -

Nigga please. -
congrats dude check out yoga, great way to get/remain in shape and meet tons of chicks

Congrats man. I had a rough January, had to put down my cat that basically adopted us 12 plus years, slept with me every night, and was an all around awesome cat, quit my job, etc. I kept a positive mindset, didn't let unemployment get me to far into that dumps, and just this week I started what could possibly be a job I look back 50 years from now and still feel like it was the best job I ever worked. Keep your head up, good things happen to people who work hard to make them happen, and this weight loss shows that you can work hard.
Good luck sir. -
Nice job. I was a size 41 2 years ago and am a size 31 now. It's a pretty awesome feeling to see the results right before your eyes.
-
That's awesome, congrats buddy. It'll feel good when you can roll the shirt off at the beach and have all the babes starring ya down haha keep it up.
