Rams beat RGTrois at home...also beat the Seahawks at home. 2-0 so far this year.
Had the Lions down on the road in week 1...this team isn't near as bad as people make it out to be.
I think the Cardinals win on Thursday, but it will be a tight game. -
agreed on the Rams being better than their perception. they pressured Griffin like crazy and played physical defense all game long. Fisher has them playing his style of ball and I think they are moving in the right direction. doubt their ceiling is very high in the next few years tho

and they have the best kicker in the NFL who is in range once you reach midfield... -
Agreed...they've at least gotten young, and have some good pass rushers, solid MLB...if Quick and Givens end up being okay at wideout, they might be alright. They still need OL help, but who doesn't besides the Texans.

Hopefully Pead or Richardson are good enough to replace Jackson when that day comes soon. -
if only they had drafted RG3 instead of sticking it with bradford whose ceiling is maybe 12th best QB in the league...

I agree that RG3 has a huge ceiling compared to Bradford but they have so much money committed to him they couldn't trade him and they needed the future picks to build a team. Who knew Fisher would turn it around like this. They are only going to improve as they use those 1st rounder's. NFC west is going to be scary good the next few years. Who would have thought that after the recent abysmal years.
-
It's not really hard to believe. The division being so terrible for so long, those high draft picks add up. The NFL changes so much year to year anyway, I don't think it's hard to believe at all. The Rams have a bright future if they can hit on a few of those high picks they have in the next few drafts.

This is exactly right. I'd LOOOOOOVE to have RG3, but they got a lot of picks for the #2 in last year's draft.Originally Posted by hooperzl

They're also paying Bradford like $18M per year (4th highest in the league IIRC)...who is going to trade for that contract? Or are you just going to give up on him and sit $18M/year on the sidelines?
I actually think if Bradford got some better line play, he would be more than acceptable. I think even as the #12 QB in the league, the Rams defense is going to be pretty damn good for a while, so I could live with it. It's how the 49ers are going to win the division each year (note: I'm NOT comparing the Rams D to the 49ers...just saying that's their recipe). -

yeah makes no fucking sense at all my god.
i know about the money side of it roth but it w as RG mutha fucking 3. They could eat the money they rich. Meh i guess not. idk. Bradford is pretty good tho. -
When looking back, the Rams should have drafted Suh and then could have still had a top 2 pick to take either Luck or RG3...but they thought they had their franchise guy in Sammy B, and they went for it.

I don't dislike Bradford, but I'm much rather have Luck or RG3 going forward. I think Bradford can be more than adequate and the Rams can win with him tho. Especially is Janoris Jenkins and Cortland Finnegan keep playing at the level they are as cover corners. The Rams will be tough to throw against, and their front 7 isn't too shabby. -
They won't be consistent Super Bowl contenders though. RG3 is the type of QB that you're instantly a Super Bowl contender every year the way the Colts were with Manning, Patriots with Brady, Saints for the last few years before Payton got suspended this year etc. That kind of consistency isn't possible without a top-line QB. I know why they didn't go for it at the time considering how much they're on hook for with Bradford, but I just don't see it happening with him. Didn't see it in college and don't see it now. They might be able to compete every couple years but they'll probably just fluctuate between 6-10 and 10-6 based on how tough their schedule is, luck, and other randomish factors.
I understand why they did it but passing up RG3 will come back to haunt them. -

I mean I completely agree...but given their situation, I think they did about as well as they could.
They weren't putting $18M on the sidelines to rot away...and nobody was trading for that contract. They stockpiled quite a few picks...some of those picks are already playing at a high level (Janoris Jenkins...I think Quick has a lot of ability). They have lots of high picks in the next few years, and if they draft well, I think they can be right there in the NFC West every year.
I'm not 100% sold on Bradford, but I think if they get some more talent around him (namely our OL), he is good enough to win 9-10 games each year with the way their defense is going to play.
Basically you can look at it in this way: Is RG3 more valuable than Bradford, Brian Quick, Janoris Jenkins, and whoever else they get in the next 3 years with their multiple first rounders. Right now, it looks like he damn well could be. But, like I said--given their situation, I think they did a damn good job of getting great value out of the #2 pick. -
RG3 will make the Skins SB contenders every year he's healthy.
Unfortunately Dan Snyder will prevent the Skins from ever winning a SB. -
Dan Snyder doesn't make personnel decisions anymore braj, he just signs checks.

Shanny and the GM, Bruce Allen, make all the football moves now. last 2 drafts have been pretty good man -
That's what Dan Snyder wants you to think.
-
rg3 wears a sleeve/glove in memory of micheal jackson.
Anything you people have to say about him is invalid.
