  1. Today is my Official Retirement Date, Sep. 30th 2012. 22 years of Naval Service is over and done. I went on Terminal Leave 8 Aug. so i've kinda been out since then, but really just on vacation from the Navy. (Terminal Leave is when you use all your leave you have accrued just before you get out)

I got hired July 17th for a civilian job and actually started working last week of Aug, hence the reason i 've barely been posting. The new job is okay and 100% travel as a Wind Turbine Tech. So i basically travel around to different sites and repair, maintain and commission Turbines.

This is my favorite part of any retirement, but i hate retirements so i didnt have one.

Anyway, all you Military folks left, its your watch have fun, i'm out.

The amazing thing is that most of these career military guys don't actually "rest" when they retire....they go onto a 2nd job where they work almost as much. However, now he can get a paycheck he deserves!

  25. haha, so true. Ive been averaging 65 hours a week in my new job and didnt work 65 hours a month the last 2 years in the Navy. Of course i didnt do any deployments the last 3 years either, so that helped.
