It's alright. I hate him as much as anybody, but he'll be soon overshadowed. In like 8 years ARod will be breaking Bonds' record. He'sgot 478 and he's only 31. If he averages 38 a year (very modestnumber for ARod), he'll have 782 by the time he's 39. He's a worthy man to hold the all-time home run record, unlike that cheating, drug using, adulterating, asshole Bonds.
-
please someone besides ARod????
-
I just hope he breaks it at an away game so he is booed
-
that is a bit of light at the end of the tunnel mupp. I hate bonds with a passion and can't wait for him to just break the dang record and retire already. I have no qualms with a-rod but can only hope and dream it will be pujols standing the test of time to hold the home run record for a lengthy period of time.
-
good point Mupp..I made the same point to Donk Walrus the other day, when he was doing his daily swing from bonds' nutsack...I'm not much of a yankees fan but bonds is a disgrace to the game. I hope A rod stays healthy for another decade and he'll easily surpass bonds
-
A-Rod will be a great guy to break the record
but like i keep saying.
it SHOULD be...
kid griffey
the fastest man ever to 400 homeruns
slowest man from 400 to 500 :(
F injuries
Griffey woulda had over 700 by now if it weren't for a wasted 4.5 years -
Besides ARod and Pujols, you guys think anyone else has a legit shot at it?
-
Ryan Howard...I know it's early in his career and he sucks this year, but he hit 58 in his 2nd year and I can't think of anyone else off the top of my head
-
Howard is too old, isnt he like 28 already?
-

i wouldn't even put pujols in there yet, he's still early in his career and could easily get injured and fall of the face of the earth (see above:griffey) -
yea he's too old i'd say
-
Glad I wasn't the only one that thought of him, but yeah there aren't many others
-
he's a lot bigger than he used to be, hotdogs or roids?, not trying to stir up mess, but growing griffey gets injured a lot! i still like the kid....a-rod would be good for the record,
-
i dont think so. i think the closest will be manny with MAYBE 700. maybe...
-
was that a joke alchemist? pujols is for sure next in line
-
if Arod averages only 32 a year for 7 years, he has 700HR. You don't think he could do that?
-
Barry Bonds will have 765 HR's though. I don't see Arod getting 65 more over 700. Arod probably finishes around Babe Ruth on the all time list.
-
i thought somebody already said poujols. arod and poujols are closer to 800. i meant that manny will prob be the closest to them, which is still pretty far away.
-
i think arod will beat bonds by 10+HRs...and who knows what puojols can do if he never gets hurt
-
dumbwalrus you are an idiot
good day sir -
lets say arod plays only 9 more years till he is 40. He would only need to average 32 a year for 9 years to beat 765... simple
-
1) Regarding Manny id be kind of shocked if he even got to 600, he shouldnt be in this discussion.
2) Unless arod has a terrible injury, or loses his newly found Jobu doll, he is a lock to break whatever mark Bonds puts up in my opinion. -
well manny's 34, and he should have 500 by the end of this year. so if he plays 6 more years avg 30 HRs a season he'll be at 680. i think he'd stick around to get 700
-
lol well arod is on pace to get 500 by the end of may
-
he turns 35 like next month, and I really doubt he is playing 6 more years. I could easily be wrong, I just see a precipitous drop off in the near future for him.
-
badmagik, you are an idiot, i am a bonds genius.
that is all. -
I'm sorry guys i have to apoligize for dumbwalrus' stupidity on 95% of his posts. especially the ones concerning baseball
-
doing his daily swing from bonds' nutsack
I loled
