  1. For the heck of it tonight I decided to join an espn league, standard? 8 category scoring with standard limeup of SG,PG,SF,PF,C,G,F, and 3 utillity then 3 on bench. I also have no idea how to manage my team so any tips would be great, it's head to head and u get 6 line-up changes per week (i think).

    Had the 2nd pick overall...

    #2 Chris Paul PG

    #19 Steve Nash PG

#22 Chauncey Billups PG (any big here I felt would be a reach so I decided to corner the market on PG's and assists)

    #39 Josh Smith PF/SF

    #42 Caron Butler SF

    #59 Eric Gordon SG

    #62 Tyrus Thomas PF

    #79 Luis Scola PF/C

    #82 Anthony Randolph SF/PF

    #99 Chris Kaman C

    #102 Luol Deng SF

#119 Jason Thompson PF (could be reason why I win this league imo)

    #122 Leoandro Barbosa SG

    Wug thoughts?

  3. Who was taken number 1? Also it would really depend on the scoring categories. I am guessing kobe was number 1? or Lebron? I am not sure if I like your number 1 pick, but other than that your team ain't bad

How can you not like cp3??? Do you watch basketball?
  5. Lebron went #1

Scoring is pts, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, FG %, FT%, and 3-pt made

  6. youre probably gonna need an actual center. scola in fantasy in a backup, ,kaman is a total question mark and might not play enough, others dont qualify for center. so id be on the lookout for someone solid.
  7. I wasn't saying I didn't like it but if he had 2 then taking Kobe or lebron would depend on the scoring categories imo since Lebron reb better etc. Obv I had taken Kobe over cp, but obv cp is almost as good. Kobe had no olympics this summer or anything so a fully rested kobe = ruh ro
  8. as a sixers fan, I've obv been out of the loop for a while...is Chris Paul the # 2 pick now? wow.
  9. Great value for Scola. He's going to have a great year stats-wise.
  10. Your team will get 7th.
  11. if its a 700 team league maybe

everything mr saul touches turns to gold, noob

  12. did you learn to draft from the minnesota timberwolves?

  18. i would've avoided steve nash at all costs. this is definitely the year his body hits the wall and shuts down for good. I'm call 50 games max, with 13 points and 7 assists as his ceiling. Not bad numbers for a guy in his mid-30's, but i'd never take him in the second round.
  19. I have Anthony Randolph on my team too. I probably reached for him, but he'll be so much fun to root for this year, whether he completely breaks out or not.

By completely breaks out, I'm talking 16 points, 9 reb, 4 assists and 2 blocks per game at the minimum.

By the way, here's my team:

    Devin Harris
    Joe Johnson
    Monta Ellis
    LEBRON JAMES
    Boris Diaw
    Anthony Randolph
    Lamarcus Aldridge
    Zack Randolph

    Richard Jefferson
    Tyreke Evans

    Ronnie Brewer
    Rodney Stuckey
    Roy Hibbert

Pretty weak at the center positions. I might at well trade Aldridge now while his value is at his highest. I see him having a crappy year.

  21. First off, how many teams are in your league? I'm assuming 12...

You'll do alright in the assists department with your first three picks all being point guards. Don't know if I like that approach though.

Probably would have went with someone other than Caron Butler at #42, but meh, I guess almost 2 steals per is pretty solid. His stats will likely take a hit this year with Arenas back in action.

Not a fan of Josh Smith, but he gives you defense a long with decent ppg.

Center position is pretty weak. Otherwise, looks alright, but you'll probably need make a few changes early on.

Here's my lineup for the OT 10 man league on Yahoo.

  22. Chalk up rebounds as a win, TT gunna average 20/game, Rodman style
