  1. in other words david garrard is having a worse day than you are, deputy.
  2. I'm sure he'll be goin up stairs to eat his fuckin chinese food, in his fuckin room.

  3. As someone who enjoyed watching him during his East Carolina years I hope he gets on somewhere but I can understand the move.
  4. Wish the Falcons would pick up Garrard and cut Chris Redman loose. Fat chance that will happen, even though everybody who knows anything about Redman outside the Falcon front office would say there's zero chance the Falcons can make the play-offs if Ryan gets hurt and Redman takes over.

Gabbert will be the starter at some point. Probably just short of midway into the season. Just a guess, though.

  5. He would be a great fit in Atlanta. He has been one of the better runaction pass QBs the last few years, and his wheels get him out of trouble. He also fits the conservative personality of the offensive staff.

Oakland should take a long look (obviously).

  6.
  7. I'm a Jaguars fan (probably the only one on here), but all of the Jaguars players I follow on Twitter (and even old ones that are with a new team now) all say we will be surprised and impressed with Luke McCown. Hope they are right
  8. another jags fan here.

bfactor you have the entirely wrong impression of jacksonville. comparing it to the streets of the wire, lol. Id say more a bunch of florida gator hicks than anything. but its the biggest city landwise in the US. So theres definitely a wide variety of people.

Also heard today Garrard was at a luncheon at the chamber of commerce to raise support for jags ticket sales. gets out, and finds out hes been cut. lol fkn dirty.

  9. Gabbert is terrible and I'm still surprised he went as high as he did. He was just absolutely brutal to watch at times at Mizzou.

  10. There is nothing that protects the players. That's why I laugh at the idiotic, jealous fans and white mainstream media who complain about players being 'greedy' or 'not loyal' or 'living up to their contract.' loyalty's a 2-way street, but the NFL has managed to hoodwink people into thinking players get the raw end of the deal. lol @ that

anyway, doubt this is a play for andrew luck, i mean spending back-to-back picks on 1st round QBs is retarded (although certainly more affordable under the new CBA)...anyway, Gabbert sucks and won't be in the league in 5 yrs. Garrard always sucked too
  11. Im a huge jags fan, and I have season tickets this year. Thank god they cut him. In preseason workouts, luke has looked much better. Garrard has been constatly degressing since 2007. Its said that they just up and cut garrard a week before opening game as he was leaving a team luncheon. Considering how nice of a guy garrard is and how active he has been in the community, it makes me lose a little respect for the jags front office.

The media is speculating that gabbert will be starting by week 6, but im not sure how much weight that holds

I thought I was the only Jags fan in OT :) Helllo fellow Jags fans!

I don't like the move, Garrard finds ways to win... McCown is 1-6 as a starter and has 2 ACL tears. Yea I think he does look better than Garrard but he gets seriously injured so often and doesn't have that (as Skip Bayless says) "clutch gene". But hey, I'll give him a shot. I would have rather seen Gabbert sit behind Garrard for a year or 2 to get that veteran perspective
  13. lol, del rio is saying they cut him because of a practice he had, what a crock of shit
