  1. Decent track record but not exactly an awe-inspiring choice, and of course that debacle Sunday is going to have everybody low on him right now. Thoughts OT?
  2. atlanta are some lucky mfers

thought they would be stuck with mularkey for a long time
  3. hope Oakland makes a better choice
  4. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Mularkey should have been fired as the Falcons OC and been praying for a job in the NFL, and he gets a head coaching gig. Good luck with Blaine, Mikey!

Probably a blessing for Atlanta and a curse for the Jaguars.

  5. looooooooooooooool that is freaking hilarious.

    Congrats, Falcons fans!!
  6. This has to be a joke

    gg Jags O

  8. from a Falcons fan........Thank Tebow!!!
  9. Came to OT to post this. I don't know enough about Mularky to make an informed opinion but I did just read an interesting article somewhere (maybe OT?) about his decisions on Sunday being all correct decisions. The guy not only made an interesting case but he proved it via math. Yes math. But seriously

I don't think anybody disagreed with him going for it on 4th & inches...he's been a miserable OC for the last few years in ATL.

And when you go 5 wide with Michael Turner on the sideline on a 4th and a chain link...everybody in the building knows you're QB sneaking. Just retarded.

    He's seriously awful.

you mean like his decision to go 5 wide and run a sneak on 4th and 1 v the hottest/best D-line in the league right now.....mathematically thats possibly correct, strategically its an abomination

    damn you JRoth

  14. lol. Isn't he the genius who decided the Falcons should try to run one more play when they were in this spot with 10 seconds left:

  15. Thank God. I was worried the Dolphins were going to get stuck with Mullarkey
  16. Report: Falcons hire Mike Mularkey as head coach

lol this is headline of USA today scared the shit out of me and I was mounting up and headed to Flowery Branch with all the guns I could carry

    Shit they fixed it now

  17. It's not about the decision-making or whatever; it's about his offensive philosophy and playcalling. It really is terrible and has held the Falcons back for a couple years now. Oh, and he already failed as a head coach once in Buffalo.

My criticism of Mularkey has been well documented, so this is really funny to me. How does he get a head coaching gig? WTF!

  18. loljags
  19. Looooooool Hiring the Falcons OC???

    I'm sorry Jag fans.

Wade Phillips is interviewing for hc jobs. What do you expect
  21. Count me as another Falcons fan who is thankful. Matt Ryan, you're on the clock.... Lets see what you can do...
  22. Jaguars really wanna get relocated bad huh
  23. So after reading this thread (yet to do research) I'm getting rather upset.

    Guy must fuckin interview well
  24. Guy is a complete fuckin fail, just further proves the fact that once you're in the NFL as a coach it is just one big fraternity. Got to kill someone or plan a terrorist attack to get kicked out.
  25. Life as a Jaguars fan continues to suck. What else is new? Can we fast forward 5 years please?
  26. Peace out nucca!!

Seriously, good riddance. With all the weapons the Falcons have, and Matt's love for the no huddle, this offensive should be explosive. Please somebody smarter than me tell me why Michael Turner doesn't catch balls out of the backfield? The Falcons could have a very similar offense to New Orleans with all the weapons they have.
  27. fuck you all.

    No.

Unless the Falcons get someone similar to Payton and an elite QB, their offense will never be "similar." The Saints have a buncha castoffs on their offense: Colston (7th rd pick); Lance Moore (free agent); Pierre Thomas (free agent); Chris Ivory (free agent); Jahri Evans (4th round); Carl Nicks (5th round). And Brees and Sproles were both cut loose from San Diego.

It doesn't matter how many "weapons" you have unless you have a great system and an elite QB to run it. The Falcons have neither.
