  3. He's had no qb or good qb coach to mentor him.

He's effectively only started for 2 years now.

    Give him a break.
  4. but hey he has no INTs this weekend!

    he's improving

    lolz
  5. hes actually pretty good for a black QB
  6. Maybe if Cable punched him in the face it would help...

  8. Yo JaMarcus, I know you're a terrible QB, and imma let you finish, but Ryan Leaf was the biggest QB bust of all time!

This just proves how much more scrutiny black qbs are under.

Am I the only one who remember how terrible Drew Brees was his first 3 years in the league?

    You're kidding, right?

    Brees' first 3 full seasons:

    #1) 3284 yards passing, 17 TD, 16 INT, 76.9 passer rating, 60.8% completion %
    #2) 2108 yards passing (11 games), 11 TD's, 15 INT's, 67.5 passer rating, 57.6 completion %
    #3) 3159 yards passing (15 games), 27 TD, 7 INT's, 104.8 passer rating, 65.5 completion %

Only one of those would be considered a "bad year"
  11. the black QB comment was kind of a joke
  12. Off the Marcus doesn't get it. He has to put in time to get better and he refuses to put in the work that is required to get better.

One guy's comments (which were obv a joke in the first place) "proves how much more scrutiny black qbs are under"???

    Ok.

I should of said first 2 years starting, which Jamarcus is still in.

Brees got to learn from Flutie.

Russel got to pick up tips from Andrew Walter.

    Ok.

You're an eagles fan and you can't concede the point Black Qb's are more scrutinized?
  17. jamarcus russell would never be a good qb, he has zero accuracy, doesn't have a good work ethic, and doesn't make good decisions.

it wouldn't have mattered whether his mentor was Peyton Manning or Andrew Walter.
  18. The scrutiny in this case is only there because of how awful he has been. He BARELY throws the ball more than 10 yards yet still has a completion % of 41.3%. He takes way too fucking long to make a decision on who he wants to throw to, and when he finally does he either overthrows the ball or severly misses his targets. On the rare occasions that he does make a good pass, he usually stares at his target so long that DB's are able to cover ground and either break up the pass or pick it off.

Race has nothing to do with this. Alex Smith got the same scrutiny because he was *gasp* a shitty QB as well.

Shitty players deserve the scrutiny regardless of race.

have you seen anything out of russell in his first two years that would suggest that he'll ever become a frontline starter? he cant even complete a pass to a guy who's wide open.

he's 43-108 this year. have they dropped like 30 passes in 4 games? and why do you keep defending him, he's by far the worst starting qb in the nfl.

True WAR story. had a bunch of ryan leaf cards when I moved to california and this was just after season was starting so I took them with me. by like game six the whole city hated him. it was hilarous how fast they gave up on him
  23. i think it was the kc game in the rain or something when he went like 1-15 or something. That was the end of him in San Diego

Because calling someone a bust after 19 starts is idiotic.
  25. soo funny after last weeks game on the fox bay area news they showed a clip of him post game talking to the media. He said he felt good, didnt think he needed to change anything even tho he only had 1 passing yard in the 2nd half. Funny to watch him talk about how good he and his team is.
  26. pretty sure if i did my job as bad as this guy does his, I'd get canned

I came to post this. There is nothing he has shown that makes me think he'll ever be a worthwhile NFL QB.

And, I've read where they say he's lazy as hell. Not a good combo for someone who is terribly inaccurate and just overall bad.

there are way too many times I come into a thread and you've posted exactly what I wanted to say.

Glad I could return the favor
  29. much obliged, sir.
