I think you guys may have watched this while multitasking or something, if you watch the whole thing it's not the least bit weird. Jay-z is supposedly an introverted person, so he is not going to be jumping on the couch and telling you his life story.

I actually like the way he answered questions, personally if someone asks me if I'm married, I never just say "yes", I usually add in another sentence to that answer that includes a small story about my marriage or how it's going, even though the person never asked "how's it going".

Seriously though, I did find it a bit awkward. Maybe you're right, maybe that is just Jay-Z being Jay-Z. I haven't seen him in this setting before so I have to say I was surprised.

The guy is anything but introverted in his music. Anything but introverted in his stage presence. Everything that you see in the media with him is big and loud.
