Yup, it happened
-
cant belive he got fired..wonder wheres hes going to coach..the dude is a great nfl coach
-
this mean vince young is staying now?
-
Im amazed at this. Fisher is def. one of the best coaches in the NFL
-
I don't think it's him being fired as much as him wanting out because he was a lame duck and he lost two of his defensive coaches in last couple of weeks. He was forced to fire Cecil and Washburn bolted for Philly. John Clayton is saying there are rumors that Fisher may become Eagles DC.
-
well obv Young>>>>>Fisher
-
Guess he should've went for it on 4th down vs. the Colts
-
very overrated. i remember arguing on here about that recently too
-
Not overratted at all.. the fans love him and the players supported him.. BUD ADAMS is the issue here. Watch out Oakland and Redskins here comes another crazy as a bat owner who can't see the light of day and plays too much in his own pool.

For those who say he is over-rated. He wanted Chris Johnson bad and got him in the first round and took shit for the pick. I think we all agree a lot of people ate those words. He didn't want Pac-man or VY.. the story is still out on Young but he is a baby without a doubt. Look at the teams around the league who let the coach pick the players who they want to fit their style... COLTS, PAT, SAINTS ?? works well IMO. -
overrrrrrated imo... 17 years with one team and his claim to fame is having one trip to the superbowl. How many division titles did they win? Its kinda silly to think how fast people turn on coaches with equal success in shorter time spans -- people wanted lovie smith out after 1-2 sub par seasons.
Don't get me wrong, I think hes a good coach -- but I think hes def overrated a bit -
For those who think he is overrated wait and see what the Titans will look like for the next 5 to 10 years. Lions move over here we come.

He tips me 20 in and 20 out every time I valet for him. Fuck you Bud Adams. -
Edited By: XBassX Jan 28th, 2011 at 05:19 AMname quality players he has had to work with in the last 5 seasons? I just named 2 players who were 1st rounders that could have made a big difference.. without pac man waste of a pick.. Rogers from Auburn would have been selected. How big of that one first rounders would have made? alot this year I know.Originally Posted by Nickc011

Good for Bud Adams he's not letting an emotionally unstable player or an overrated stubborn coach hold him hostage. If any other coach was so mediocre they'd be on the hot seat every year yet supposedly he's a good coach beyond firing. GTFO
-
holding him hostage? I guess the longest tenure coach in the league and head of the rules committee with no mutter of bad talk against him is holding hostage these days. WOW
-
Yes. When the coach refuses to change what he's doing to produce better results. Talk about talent all you want, I wonder who was responsible for running all the talented players out of town due to his mentality. If you're belichick with superbowls it's okay, if you're a .500 coach who went to a superbowl a decade ago it isn't. I guarantee the titans can't be any worse than they have been.
-
Who did he run out of town Albert Haynesworth? I don't think anyone blames him for taking his stand against Vince Young. You say players.. players with an S so you have others in mind?
