1. just saw it on yahoo, the basic synopsis is that the patriots had a jets employee removed during the january playoff game last year for videotaping...jets coach eric mangini claims the team was granted permission to videotape, as they are for every road game

personally, i find it hard to believe bill belichick would give mangini permisson to videotape, but this adds some grease to the fire...this thread is now open to ignorant patriots flaming and discussion on this new revelation

pu_s
2. If this is true, I think the Jets should forfeit the game they played earlier this season.
3. I personally taped this game from my home. I then sent this tape via registered mail to "The Office of Cheating for the Jets, care of Eric Mangini", and as such I now have proof that the Jets did in fact recieve videotaped footage of a game they played in.
4. non-story. read the whole article. Standard. Hype rules when you're chasing the '72 Dolphins.
5. No big shocker there to me, its widely known that teams steal signals and tape each other. I still like the haters and flamers here that hate on the Pats for being cheaters, when their teams are doing it. The Pats stopped after Game 1 and have been blowing out almost everyone. Goes to show how fucking good they are.
6. ^^^Ignorant pats fan.

If you read the story, the league and patriots gave the employee permission to videotape.
Also the camera was not aimed at the sidelines to steal signals, but from a goalpost to goalpost perspective.
7. what a way to unbiasedly(is that a word?) report the facts ron(heavy sarcasm). At no time was the jets cameraman filming coaches or stealing sign. They were filming additional views of the field, which is well within the rules if granted permision by the home team. most teams put this extra camera man in the endzone as do most teams approve the visiting team the same. ok, now onto the patriots bashing, this is just another example of bill being classless bill. granting the jets permission to film, and then reniging on it when the game starts. very typical billicheat fashion. at no time were the jets accused of stealing signals, i want to make that clear. apples to oranges.
8. Im sure those cameras never took shots of the sidelines, LOL. Im sure they just shot the field. KIds these days so naive.
9. and how do you know all this BBpopper?

10. look I think what the pats are doing is impressive and I actually (since they have beaten the Eagles) wish that they go undefeated since I can't stand the cockiness of the '72 Dolphins, but the article even stated that the pats and the NFL gave them the ability to videotape the game.

Plus the camera was pointed goal post to goal post, I don't htink there was any foul play involved.

On that note GO BIRDS, nothing would be sweeter then a Eagles upset over the Cowgirls this weekend.
11. Because he read the fucking story.
12. Ive read a lot of stories from Barry Bonds where he says he never did steroids, not sure I believe him.
13. Go read them again.
14. Says his head just grew that big naturally.
15. so you're gonna believe mangini...you think he's gonna come out and say "yea we taped em, so what"...im not saying its a big deal...it is what it is...people like you jos need to pay attention and see this goes on throughout the entire NFL

16. K. Now start walking around the earth.
17. ^^^Exactly what I thought when I read it. Manginis just gonna say, "You caught me, I did it". Considering those tapes are long gone.
18. I've said that since day 1 of this "controversy". All the teams do it. Mangini was just a little bitch about it and will pay for it.
19. Says he bought some hand cream, guess Ill just believe what he says. Must be true.
20. LOLLERSKATES.

Nobody will mention this non-issue in a week.
21. i cant sit here and say it is fact. i am only speaking of information i have read. obviously, i was not there, and did not see the tapes, or here any conversations between jets and pats officials. All i know is what i read from a credible news source. I have seen no other informatin to contradict this, so i will assume it as fact. The Nfl will come out and say they are investigating the jets if they were stealing signals, just like they said they were investigating newengland.
22. no offense worm, but you are being an idiot by comparing this to barry bonds. there are lots of credible sources that contradict bonds statements that he is clean. in this jets situation, there are none(yet).
23. worm is actually one of the smarter ones in OT when it comes to sports, specifically boston(bit of a homer but we all are)...but it is true these 2 circumstances are irrelevant...my question is why doesnt anyone mention the 99 broncos(13-0 start) who were also caught cheating?
Thread Starter
24. who cares.... it was LAST SEASON...
25. yes, i agree with you ron, worm knows his sports, as do me and you. I was calling his statements comparing it to bonds idiodic, not calling him an idiot. I may have worded it wrong, but thats all i meant. what about the 99 broncos? i know not of this.
26. Thanks Ron. I know it was a bit of a stretch, but I thought it was funny that everyone thinks since Mangini said it didnt happen, then it didnt happen.

Why does no one talk about the Vikings back in the day feeding in extra crowd noise? AN advantage that outdoor teams cant use.
27. I'm putting an * on the Jets playoff loss last year.......
28. The NFL issued a statement Wednesday regarding the Jets' use of a second end-zone video camera during a game last year.
The Jets didn't break any rules. "It is not uncommon for visiting team video crews to request permission to shoot coaching video from both upper end zone positions," spokesman Greg Aiello said. "There are no restrictions on shooting from both upper end zone positions as long as the opportunity is provided to both teams. No permission is needed from the league office." Source: Boston Herald

nice try new egland fans, once again, youve tried tried to justify your teams cheating by accusing an innocent team of the same. when will you just give in and say you cheated and it helped you win? obv you didnt need to, as you fuckers are still awesome, but that doesnt change the fact that you cheated. And now, in typical classless fashion, billicheat renigs on his allowance for endzone filming, and then tries to make it look like the jets were cheating to cover up for his cheating. it is truley pathetic. that being said, this pats offense is the best ive ever seen.
