    apparently he was 5 minutes late for his pro-am tee time. the tour has a strict policy about missing your pro-am tee time -- you are automatically disqualified.

    pretty funny story, says he showed up 5 minutes late without socks or a belt. set his phone alarm and it ran out of batts.

    sucks, i love furyk. he's such a beauty. seems like your grade-A american dad to me

    That's stupid. Formal rule is if you are 'late' for your tee time but your group hasn't finished first hole it's a 2-stroke penalty. Atleast that's what i was charged in a tournament.

    Now this is a rule that I didn't know and I think is stupid. As far as 'strict policy' we know that all their policies are strict but for the pro-am??? That's just a little bit over the top for me man. I understand missing your regular tee time (and im walkin out door to play Horseshoe Bay Ram Rock as I type) but for the pro - am I disagree

    I didn't know that rule, that blows...

    have fun at Horseshoe Bay Russ... I've played a couple of course there, but if that one's newer, then I haven't played it. Cya at Winstar tonight.

    It is a silly rule but the reason they enforce it so stringently is because the amateurs are paying 10k+ for their round. A lot f these guys are potential sponsors and such so when you have a pro showing up late looking like shit it makes the PGA Tour look like shit.

    isn't this kind of an irrelevant suspension since he is top 3 in fed-ex standings.....i mean he didn't even have to play

    River prelim series.... I finished 36/487 in the $330 Monday after chopping at the final table in the $220 weekly on Friday. Thursday is $330 PLO, Friday is $1k NLHE, and then the final $440 megasatellite is Sunday to the $2100 Main Event next week, no fees and $20,000 added by Winstar to the top 40 mega finishers Sunday. Sitngos are very easy too, I went 3 for 3 last weekend in $137 10-handed sngs paying 3 $440 mega tix... very turbo, but I feel I have at least 50-50 shot in them.
