  9. Should be a first ballot hall of famer but may get punished for playing during the steroid era.

  10. lol, no chance hes not in first ballot
  11. First player to hit 300, 400, 500, and 600 with different teams.

    Respect.
  12. Congrats to one of the nicest guys in baseball. After the first one it seemed inevitable that he would hit the second.
  13. Is there a more underappreciated hitter than Thome? I mean 8 guys have hit 600 home runs. Jeter gets 3,000 hits and wars across the globe simultaneously stop. Good for him, very glad he did it in a Twins uniform.
  14. congrates to him. thome and lofton were my favorites growing up, and thome is one of the nicest guys ever

  15. luck boxed it when i flicked over to mlb.tv and his at bat was just starting

Does it bother you that ARod's 600th HR got way less attention than Jeter's 3000th hit as well?

robby alomar, who's like top 5 greatest 2b ever wasnt first ballot

i think that jimmy might not be, he'll be right on the bubble

if anyone finds a video later can you post? im never good at finding stuff
  19. Aloamr was snubbed on first ballot because of the spitting incident. No character issues will stop Thome from being a fist ballot HOFer.

Assuming a DH is a no doubter is risky, especially after looking after Thome's rookie card.

    I agree.

  21. Everyone you hear from who ever met Thome all say he is a great guy - don't hear that too often about anyone. I'd vote him first ballot if I had a vote.
  22. i wish the 1997 Cleveland Indians would have won instead of the Free Agent Marlins.

ahhh how history can hurt sometimes.

The Marlins should never own a title, it hurts.

  24. the Marlins deserved it when they beat the Yankees but not in 1997.

It doesn't bother me, because I understand why it happened, but I think its stupid.
  26. Grats to Thome. Hes one of the best guys in baseball. Have met him more than once and he always took time out for the fans even it was on his time. Hes the type of guy you could approach even if he had a piece of steak on his fork and I know this because ive seen it happen to him.

with David Justice, Roberto, Sandy, Omar, Kenny, too? Be pretty sick indeed
  30. Beast. Seriously, has always been way under-appreciated as a hitter but a very classy guy on & off the field...
