    lol never thought I'd see the day Darkpoker would be excited that Kobe is almost as good as MJ, haha but good article agree 100%, while clearly not MJ he is the only person who even deserves the comparison

    guess you didn't like the article huh, Kobe def no MJ, IMO doesn't have the ability MJ had to be uber clutch as well as make all the players around him play to capabilities even thought thought impossible, but I think he is the only one since MJ that can even be compared which is what the article seemed to insinuate....

    Hate him or love him, It's true. This would be more of an arguement if Shaq/Malone didn't lose to the Pistons when Larry Brown outcoached them and when Kobe put a great run to eventually lose to the Celtics. He obviously learned from that season to win alone later.

    Good article, nice comparison, just 6/6 in Finals with 6 MVP's is something that puts Jordan over the top

    loooool second I read Harold Miner I immed thought wtf is he doing in there, just because he got the nickname baby jordan from his dunk contest performance in no way meant ppl thought he was the next mj loool

    god those are sick stats, I took from the article that he was saying out of players since MJ finished Kobe was the only one that could even be talked about......not that he was MJ or anything but basically that he was #2 behind MJ since he retired, if that isn't what the article was saying, and it was comparing Kobe as the only person that could be compared to MJ in the history of the NBA than the article is a mf joke

    and yes /thread after those tmac stats, altho i don't believe that is the point the author was getting at....doesn't matter Kobe isn't close to MJ which was always obvious

    ive hated bball for quite some time but have always loved wat kobe does, i joined my 1st fantasy bball league this year and i fucking love it!
    winning probably helps as im in 1st but with the 2nd pick in the draft i picked cp3 and guess who was there for my 2nd pick mr black mamba aka i paid 4millie to your hand ill fuck wat i want

    I'm not sure if you guys realized this or not, but the name that appeared on most of those lists with MJ's name was that one guy that plays for the Heat...LeBron?

    Obv MJ is the best there is...the best there was...the best there ever will be. But let's not ignore that Kobe is absent from most of those lists with LeBron present on all but 1.

    Obviously Jordan is the greatest ever but doesnt age need to be taken into account here. Kobe has 6 years on lebron and jordan didnt win a title until he was 28.

    Just saying its hard to compare career stats and totals when Jordan is retired, kobe is in the later stages of his career and lebrons is only around half way

    And if number of championships determine the "best" player, why isn't it Bill Russell?

    This is what bothers me more than anything. Jordan needed Pippen, Kobe needed Shaq and Gasol/Bynum, yet people act like every ring LeBron ever wins will have an asterisk next to it because he had DWade.

    Makes 0 sense.
