Sunday night Mrs. Robinson and I had the best meal of our lives here! She had the 4 course prix fixe menu with wine (dont have specifics on her wines) and I had the 5 course degustation menu with wine pairing. About to be foodie heaven ITT

Amouse Bouche for both menu tasting menus: Serrano ham croquette with chilled potato leek soup with almonds

Maine Lobster Salad. Apple-Champagne Vinaigrette. Tomato and Melon.
paired with 2008 Woollaston, Estates, Riesling, Nelson, New Zealand (dry, rubber and quince notes, citrus and green apple flavor)

Warm Quail Salad. Sautéed Artichokes and Pinenuts
paired with Rose of Cabernet Sauvignon

Pan Seared U-10 Day Boat Scallop. Potato Mousseline and Jus de Veau
2009 Domaines Schlumberger, Pinot Gris, Les Princes Abbés, Alsace, France (dry 1, tree fruit and flint note, pear and lemon curd)

Sautéed Ruby Red Shrimp. Roasted Zucchini, Crispy Artichoke, Tomato Confit and Piquillo Pepper Vinaigrette
with Austrian Gruner Veltliner

Sautéed Steak of “A” Foie Gras. Cherries, Rhubarb Purée and Blood Orange Sauce
2007 Royal Tokaji Wine Company, Tokaji Aszú, 5 Puttonyos, Mád, Hungary (sweet 6, raisin and prune, golden raisin and fig)
-We shared this course as this course is skipped in the prix-fixe menu. Amazing but Foie always is! The dessert wine pairing with a savory course worked so incredibly well, it blew my wine mind

Sautéed Filet of New Zealand Tai Snapper. Court-Bouillon Sauce and Fresh Herbs (sauce has the deepest flavor and balance ive ever had in a court-bouillon
with White Rioja, which is from the grenache blanc grape. Incredibly rich and full body white but enough acid to cut through the butter fat in the sauce

Roasted Tournedo Loin of Colorado Lamb. Pisto, Mint Aioli and Tempura Zucchini Flower
2005 Marqués de Murrieta, Reserva, Finca Ygay, Rioja, Spain (full body, red berry and spice. Black cherry, mocha and herbs)
-This was the best course and pairing I have ever tasted. The herb and spice worked so well with mint on the lamb
We each had a choice off the dessert menu as well. here is the menu : http://www.bellagio.com/files/restau...ssert-menu.pdf
Mrs. R went with:

Trio of Meyer Lemon, Vanilla and Raspberry
Meyer Lemon Flan, Raspberry Jellie (no pic for some reason)
Vanilla Crème Fraiche Sorbet and Raspberry Bavarois

Dark Chocolate Torchon, Malbec Chocolate Sorbet. Black Raspberry Wine Syrup. some edible gold leaf on there as well (balla)
No dessert wine course but got an after dinner drink. She got a Rhone Syrah (cured meat and peppers notes, smoke and black fruit)

2005 Solera Reserva, Amontillado Sherry (toasted almonds and brulee, peanut skins and salt)
An excellent dinning experience, and our first time at a 2 michelin stars restaurant. Was definitely worth the $525 bill.
They also have over $200 million worth of Picasso's on the walls.

sick lighting
-
Looks good but I bet you guys were still hungry as hell after dinner. Nice pics
-
I have always wanted to pay $100/oz for dinner.
Jk; looks pretty allsum. -
Damn, that looks amazing!
-
Foie is better than anything in the world
-
Shit for 525 I should never see an empty plate. You got robbed.
-
I'm not one to tell other people how to spend their money. Glad you liked it.
-
Was anything made in a crock pot?
-
Awesome. I love a great dining experience once in a while.
-
Most people don't appreciate really good food. Looks like a great place. It's not just the food but the whole experience that makes it worth it.
-
and def this. The food and wine were amazing, and we had two sommeliers always checking in talking about the the wine and food, plus the back waiter just on the spot with water refills after every drink or two, and the bread server always walking by with different fresh breads. Was quite an overall experience.
-
looks nice - i'm one of the weird guys who would rather have smaller portions of high quality food and sample several dishes than having a 16oz sirloin with a baked tater the size of texas.
not a Picasso fan tho -
Looks awesome. I'm jelly.
-

lol, stealth phone pics tho. We always take food pics everywhere we go so no doubt we had too photo this meal. Felt weird at first but after a few didnt think twice -
just bustin your balls. i pretty much post pics of every meal on FB whether it's lucky charms or a blackened tuna from the fr quarter. Never had a meal in that realm though; ouch that's rough
-
the mixed games and O8 in the wsop cash room treated me well. Thats why im headin back next week, gotta keep the heater going.
-
I went to Hugos at 4 Queens when I was just there with group and I thought 1000 bucks for 12 people was expensive. Wow. Looks pretty nice though Jake hope your woman gave you a little extra lovin for that.
-
I'm sure it was great, but I would feel like such an idiot for paying anything close to that for a meal. But I am a picky eater and actually envy people with refined palletes and can actually enjoy tying things like that. I am more of a spend $65 at the Bellagio Buffet and stuff myself with king crab and huge shrimp. Oh and cream puffs.

awesome, very jealous
