If you don't remember them from the bar, how do you say they are 2 guys from the bar? Your one friend wanted to "stay and fight"..... Stay where and fight?

Friend wanted to stay on the sidewalk and fight, as opposed to attempting to flee the situation.

They were openly yelling and trying to bait jim into a fight right there on the sidewalk across the street from the bar saying "come fight me you pussy" and shit along those lines. Okay so we know the guy who punched your friend is a state trooper. Why were a couple of internal affair guys following you and your friend, especially considering their man was in the middle of missing his court appearance? It would seem to make more sense that someone would be following him or maybe carrying out the warrant to arrest him for failure to appear. Your friend had probably better be on his best behavior and on the lookout for others following him, maybe with a camera. Looking for some dirt on your friend to help their man out can't be ruled out. Did they tell you why they were following you? Seems odd.
