jury duty

    im supposed to report to the justice center tommorow, never been called for jury duty before. i dont know what to expect or bring. I heard you do a lot of sitting around. Anything i should know?

    Def plan on a lot of sitting. Just bring a magazine or something to read.

    remember to take your name sticker off before leaving the jury room. i missed that step my first time and practically got tackled by security, who made me feel like a complete idiot. they really hurt me with their words.

    If you tell them you hate "(insert racist comment here), " they will dismiss you. A friend of mine did this.

    i had to go last week, for my third time in maybe 6 years. The first one i was chosen for grand jury, then second one i did nothing, and this one he asked if there was any reason why you shouldn't participate, and i came up there and told him I had finals, and he let me go. weeeeee

    ^^ Very true.

    If I wasn't such a n00b the first time I went, I woulda done this.

    I served on an insurance claim case, and they were asking me questions like "do you have anything against chiropractors?" Had I known at the time, I woulda went into a profanity-laced tirade about them. Oh well...

    Turned out to be a boring ass case, but I learned a lot from the experience.

    Hey guys,
    If you expect only the lonely, useless, & unemployed to fill the jury box, who do you think it will be when it's you or your friends/family on trial.

    Do your civic duty, do your best. I dont want to either but I got Jury duty for July.

    make sure your Cell phone is charged up and you have the latest edition of WPT holdem on it.

    i think the worst part willl be riding the RTA into cleveland. might need the bulletproof vest
