just finished season 1 of dexter... have some questions

    1) whether dexter's brother killed his own father and why?

    2) does he kill the old lady that lived next door to his father too and what does he do with the body? (this doesn't really matter much)

    3) why didn't the father take them in after their mother was killed?

    there are some other inconsistencies that i can't think of off the top of my head.

    his mother is an informant who is fucking the cop (dexter's step-dad)....she gets killed by coke dealers, the cop feels like it was his fault and takes dexter in.....
