  7. pfffffffft what's the point of getting a blu-ray player if you're going to get DVDs to play in it??
  8. I thought they played better in a blu ray
  9. It'll upscale them to best resolution possible (normally 480p for DVDs I think), but it's no blu-ray disc...
  10. i meant blu ray discs obv, my bad

Honestly, once you go Blu with a 1080p setup, it's so so hard to go back to watching DVDs. Upscaling just doesn't cut it at all.

I totally agree Bubba, it just kind of sucks that most new releases sell for $25-$35 still (obv prices will eventually drop the same as dvds did) so I'll still rent and "make a backup" of some dvd's just because its dirt cheap but at the same time I check amazon and best buy for sales on blurays cause the picture and audio are second to none

    i know...just giving you shit

Planet Earth, BBC is a must...I also have Boondock Saints, Pineapple Express, Talladega Nights, I Am Legend, 3:10 To Yuma, Step Brothers, Invincible, The Departed, The Dark Knight, Reign Over Me, Casino Royale, Superbad, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

The only "must haves" that I own are Planet Earth and Dark Knight. I love some of the others, but these are the only two that I could watch over and over again.

I sold my BoB DVD set on e-Bay for like $30 and bought it on Blu-ray. Well worth it, looks and sounds amazing. Not that it didn't on DVD, but you know what I nmean.

  23. downloading blurays ftw. except for them being 8-13 gigs for 1080p.

as mentioned already, Dark knight, walle, and Iron man are the sickest looking blurays that I have.

edit to add- if anyone doesnt already have a bluray player, and owns a 1080p TV DEF buy one of these and an external hard drive, I got one a month ago and have since downloaded 80 blurays.
