Just got fired!!

    I don't feel that bad.
    I get to work @ 8AM this morning nice and fresh from the 4 day break I just had(annual leave) to find my boss hovering in the driveway wanting to call me in for a meeting. Well the meeting is actually two fuckers sitting there telling me I've been "terminated". I'm sitting there with a WTF expression on my face, thinking that I'm still dreaming from my peaceful sleep last night.
    Apparently they fired me because of my performance which I think is bullshit. I look after 20 technicians, which is nearly 1/2 of Australia's techs and another 5 staff have to be paid to look the other 1/2. I get along with ALL the techs great. However my new boss (the fucker who called me in to the meeting) has had a beef with me since he started only 1 year ago. I think he feels a bit itimidated by me (I speak my mind), has had the power & sacked me.
    Damm.
    BTW I told the managers(after the cards were laid out) to go fuck themselves which did give me a little satisfation.

    Did they give you warnings and writeups (official, not just coming over to you and saying you suck)? Not sure of the rules in Oz - but most US corporations have a formal termination policy.

    That is correct. Many corporations will even put employees on a performance plan, telling the employee what goals they need to meet by a certain deadline, after which they will be reevaluated.

    Still, I think releasing 100 funnel web spiders in their offices wouldn't be uncalled for.

    Not about any performance issues. No. I am gonna try to squeeze some more $$$'s out of them through the unfair dismissal laws(I think).

    gl to you! My wides job tried firng her while on maternity leave. All 3 of us marched into her bosses office and got her job back on the spot.(the day she was due back at work.) He just didn't like her because she isn't a mindless sheep who thinks he is gods gift to women. Dude was sweating during our meeting lol. I told him I wanted it in writing. The next day she went over his head and got a new boss. Gfy douche! Everyone else she works with is under him lol.

    I have a hard time understanding the whole "you can't fire me...." stuff. I always believed a company should be able to fire anyone at anytime.
