    as expected my aunt dee dee(shes been mentioned before) sprung the "we are selling house thing" on us. she just gave us a sheet with NO INFORMATION ON IT AT ALL just that we as partners agree to sell and disullsion(cant spell it) will be settled at certian date. we asked her would we get our fair share and she said that NO since we havent paid taxes we would get less. we asked how much she said it was "variable"

    me and my sister refused to sign.Aunt dee dee immediatly say she was going to bill us for all the real estate taxes she has payed(well DUH you live there) and they were NONSTOP hostile the entire time. most uncomfortable dinner I have ever had. her and my two cousins kept laying into us so we walked out.

    three of the eleven partners have lived there year round for the last 12 years. THEY sold their houses(which we got none of) to move down there. in those 12 years I have been down there exactly two nights and 4 days.

    we spent whole trip home coming up ways to fuck with them.

    My favorite, If she fucking sends us a tax bill, we will pay it and KICK THEM THE FUCK OUT FOR THE 25% WE OWN AND RENT THE HOUSE OUT. AND NOT ONLY THAT WE DONT WANT THIER APPILANCES AND FURINTURE IN THERE(THEY MIGHT GET DAMAGED GOD FORBID).

    its true we have always been "welcome:" there but these three bitches made it so uncomfortable I DIDNT WANNA FUCKING GO

    they are screwed. her and my other aunt(who also lives there) both NEVER WORKED and even got BIGGER shares of the house.

    when my granddad died each aunt got 20%, my dad got 15%, my uncle got 15%, and the 8 grandkids got 3.8% each. my uncle and his son got bought off after family dispute similar to this in the 90s.

    they wanna give my dad 9% and me and sisters and two of the other grandkids 2% each now cause we haven contributed to the partnership.

    my and my sisters are so pissed off by how they sprung it on us(my sisters lawyer called thats how we got advance warning) we are inclined to just say FUCK YOU WE AINT SELLING SELL A KIDNEY OR SOMETHING TO PAY THE TAXES
    they were in a REAL rush too. something about obama taking over going to make the taxes worse. boo hoo give us our fair share

    There is an easy way to fix the fair share deal in this with 11 partner's split the tax bill 11 ways , and split the fair market value of the rent that would of been collected if noone was in the house 11 ways.As you mentioned before if they sold their home's to move in and live well they thought rent free guess again bitches PAY UP OR SHUT UP

    sorry granddad was filthy rich and left our two shore houses on long beach island(a small one, sold for 1.2 million like 10 years ago) and a BIG ONE which is what this fight is over. i'm guessing if and when it sells it goes for 2 million. capital gains are a wash cause its been my aunts permenent residence for 12 years.

    i'm thinking they have something in the works already...which is why we are hearing about it ONE day and getting asked to sign over details the next.

    house has a DOCK, it has seven bedrooms(they knocked one out, i dont remember giving them permission), it has 4 bathrooms. it has enough space to build ANOTHER house.

    all in private part of Long beach island. forgot to take pics.

    my parents are still down there and feel sorry for them. sister and me bolted when cousin started in on us again about how my aunts will lose house anyway if they dont pay taxes.

    Tell them you are quite willing to pay your share of the taxes from the rent they should be paying you. It should more than cover it. Tell them that they might even owe you extra. Tell them that you would be willing to sell the house on the open market if everyone was willing to sell and distribute the proceeds according to the ownership shares.
    You may need a lawyer to protect your rights and get your point across. Don't think this is something you can scrimp on if the house is worth $2 mil.

    is there a written agreement about repayment of taxes or who pays them or a record you all discussed this before and agreed on something? I would imagine taxes on that would run in the 10-15k a year range depending on rates and multiply that by 12 years is a lot of money. Why wouldn't they bring it up before? I don't want to hear them say "we assumed" in court, oh yes I do because they will look silly. Awful nice of them to pay without an agreement to get it back haha they lose.

    it was 25000 this year. boo hoo I wasnt there ONE NIGHT THIS YEAR.

    partnership was written up when i was 16, its partly my fault I know so little about it but i'm fixing that problem monday
