    wtf just happened? I just finished watching this with someone and had two different intepretations of the ending.

    loved that movie...altho i think they essentially told you what happened at the end... Leo is actually crazy and they are going to lobotomize him. but when the movie ends just showing the scary tower, i feel like they are kinda leaving it up to ur imagination, that maybe they are all crazy and they just completely flipped Leo and made himthink he was nuts.

    they also throw u off slightly when leo drops a line at the end to Ruffalo that kinda sounded like he was aware, and was pretending to be crazy because that's what he wanted to happen.

    altho i am quite certain it is a definitive ending of him being crazy, i like to think the last image of the lighthouse means...that we never know.
