Everyone is all over the Chargers nuts right now, and yes they looked amazing tonight, but the Chiefs NOT the Chargers are in 1st in the AFC West and are getting ZERO love right now.
- #1 Rushing Attack in the NFL. Charles and Jones are the perfect complements and splitting carries has helped keep both fresh for this upcoming stretch run of divisional games.
- To all the Matt Cassel Haters: 22TD's/4INT's for the year, averaging a little over 200 yards a game. Had the 9th highest QB rating coming into this week, and it's going to go up even higher this week. He is the perfect game manager who doesn't take sacks, doesn't turn the ball over, and makes big plays when he has to. More importantly, this man is a LEADER for this team, and the fire and competitiveness with which he plays reverberates throughout the roster.
- Dwayne Bowe's last 3 games: 32 receptions, 465 yards, 7 TD's
- Remember this team went 4-12 last year, and has made tremendous strides in every facet of the game. They're getting better every week, and gaining more and more confidence, (finally got a solid road win today). They have one of the best coaching staffs in the NFL, and are extremely young, and should be a major force in the AFC in the next 5 years.
- Gotta get Dex, Flowers, and Albert back asap, and get some payback against Denver next week before the rematch with San Diego. And just a little reminder to all you Chargers fans of the glorious start to this football season:

Chiefs rule!!! <3 this thread! Getting a new jersey soon since my Tony Gonzales one is so out of date. Still debating whose name I should get on it though.
-
I'm hoping they make the playoffs and somehow face the Steelers. I'm still bitter about last year's loss in KC.
-
Thank you matt cassel for scoring 35 points on my bench...I didn't need the points this week anyways, but I wouldve enjoyed winning by a landslide instead of a regular ass beating..maybe I'll start you next week
-
San diego is the best team in football, top 3 in offense and defense. Nice try
Just to note; sd has not lost a game in dec since 2007 -
not really into football, but the chiefs have my appreciation
-
Not that it is their fault but they haven't played anyone besides San Diego week 1. I'll be shocked if they win a playoff game.
-
Drafted Dwayne Bowe in every fantasy league I was in this year... Was about ready to slit my wrists in Week 5, now.... well... yeah.
Also a huge Chris Johnson oops I mean Jamaal Charles fan. Get that bum Thomas Jones out of there and he's a lock for 2k yards from scrimmage. -
They're gonna win me $260 in a couple weeks, I appreciate that.
-
So happy to be a part of this bet. That's all I have to say in this thread tho. You Chiefs guys have fun in here. I do agree that your team hasn't gotten enough respect. (But that loss to Denver should be troubling... never mind, I'm out.)
-
The problem is that they basically need to beat the Chargers in San Diego to win the division. That loss in Denver killed them
-
Thanks for keeping the 49ers playoff chances alive lol.

The Chargers are 1-2 in the division also, & they still have a chance to lose in Denver. Denver always plays tough at home against division rivals. The only division game SD's won is at home against Denver, & the Chiefs already beat up on SD at Arrowhead. Where does this supposed huge intra-division advantage for SD come from?

Edited By: Underdog Nov 29th, 2010 at 04:33 PMBoth teams control their own destiny. If the Chargers win out, and the Chiefs win all but their game vs the Chargers, then they both end up 11-5 and the Chargers will be 4-2 in the division, with the Chiefs 3-3. If if if if, but there it is.Originally Posted by dodgingjets

Um, no. The Chiefs won the game, no question about it and not taking anything away from it. But they did not beat up on SD. If you want to see what beating up a team looks like, check out last night's score in Indianapolis. -
Edited By: kellykip Nov 29th, 2010 at 04:39 PMNot to rain on the KC parade, but I think you could make a case for Arian Foster - he is a horse, is a huge weapon in the passing game, and is running behind a line that probably isn't considered great run blockers. He also has only fumbled 2x in 272 touches this year, and is gonna blow past 2000 yards from scrimmage.Originally Posted by marinersheep

People laughed.
Jamaal Charles is a top three back in this league.
I think Charles is great, but I'd say top 3 is at least somewhat debatable. Not sure if Foster is better than Charles, but it's gotta be really close either way. The top 4 backs are definitely beyond debate at this point.
Sorry for being such a fucking nit.
Reason: In before Atlanta fans -
I find a 2nd Chiefs loss a lot easier than I find a first Chargers loss. And the Broncos are a train wreck with McD at the helm right now. Enjoy the Chargers facing the Denver Tebows

- the loss to denver was devastating, but hey if we want to be the best we've got to be the best. beat san diego and the division is ours barring a total collapse or oakland winning out
- not gonna proclaim that charles is the best but he's def. top 3. for those of you who drafted him, you knew jones was gonna get plenty of carries and poach touchdowns. i avoided him for those reasons and while most would disagree with me, this timeshare is 100% the right decision. charles is a smaller back with a history of injuries so they wanted to keep him healthy for the stretch run where we have 3 divisional games in the last 5. expect to see his workload expand in december.
- Bowe is just ridiculous right now. i was distraught when he dropped the TD pass against Indy but since then he's been the best WR in the game, which is even more remarkable considering we literally don't have a #2 WR right now. Please get well soon Dex! We miss you! -
I mean, KC should probably get a bit more love but lets not blow our loads over beating two NFC west teams (especially after losing to two AFC west teams)
