    So I'm listening to some of his stuff off my woman's itunes thing........only have heard a few of his songs over last few years............wanted to see what I thought.

    This music is not good.

    Any of you that thing this is good hip hop is missing out!

    I know they play a ton of stuff worse than him on the radio too, so sad.

    Never been a huge fan off Kanyne. But check out "classic" with Nas, Rakim and KRS 1...sick as fuck...

    is Graduation one of his albums? that's what i was listening to.

    i know ive heard a few of his songs i kinda liked but what i was hearing was awful.

    i'm real real far from gangsta too. i just happen to know people that turned me on to good stuff...........

    one of my favorite things to say, cause it's true........... "I'm not real smart, but I know a helluva lot of smart people!"

    I love graduation, there isn't one song on that album i don't like, wait except barry bonds that song is the ghey.

    to me kanye has a very unique style and i'm shocked how underappreciated he his in this thread.

    exactly how i feel, you really have to listen to his music and you probably will not love the first time you hear it, but the graduation album will grow on you after a few times of listening all the way through

    I used to like Kanye when "Through the Wire" came out. Not anymore. Kanye is a joke. He is nothing more than an extremely overrated egomaniac. If you don't believe me, ask any of the people who went to Bonnaroo this year. Because of his ego, he didn't come on the stage until 4:30 a.m. when he was supposed to come on at 2:45 a.m. Why? So all of the other acts would be done on the late stages so the entire focus of Bonnaroo would be on Kanye. Fine, kanye, but if you are gonna pull that shit you better fucking bring it. I was very excited about the show before I sat there for two extra hours fighting off passing out while wondering aloud like everyone else: "what the fuck is Kanye doing?" Then when he comes out, his show was absolute garbage. The worst live show I have ever seen in my entire life. And not only that but I stayed up until 5 in the morning for the honor. And don't get me wrong, I am a pretty big rap fan. I have seen Snoop, Bone, The Roots, LL Cool J, Cypress Hill, The Lost Boyz and other rap/hip-hop acts in their heyday who have impressed me live. Not Kanye. Fuck Kanye. Kanye sucks.

    I've seen Kanye and a bunch of other rappers live and he was far better than a majority of them. I am by no means saying he isn't an egomaniac and his live performance is off the charts but c'mon-the dude makes sick beats and compared to 99% of rappers has lyrics many more people can relate to. BTW, most people aren't going to perform that well at 430AM

    Just like 98% of the rappers/hip-hop artiest anymore, it usually goes down hill after there first album cause they already got paid and fans will still buy there next stuff..

    lol this is what you base your entire opinion of kanye on? ive been to countless shows where the performer is 2 hours late, ive seen shows where they only perform for 45 mins instead of 2 hours etc. one bad live performance does not define the career or brilliance of the work they have done in a studio. ive never seen kanye live, but i know for sure he put on a great show on mtv awards and bet awards. i think people are judging him too much by his personality and not his talent. yes he has said some stupid ass things in the media, big deal...

    I never said that his Bonnaroo performance was what I was basing my entire opinion on, but nice job putting words in my mouth. Just to clarify, I am basing my entire opinion on having listened to his music and deciding that its just not that good. The Bonnaroo performance was just a great example that shows how he is overhyped, overrated, and an egomaniac whose success is more the result of mass marketing than quality music. And you know what, out of all the great acts they have had at Bonnaroo it was the first late night show on a big stage there. Why? Because Kanye's ego wouldn't let him perform when he was originaolly supposed to which was from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. If he played like shit at 4:00 a.m. then that is his own doing and he should have stuck with his original time slot. Look acp, if you think his music is good, fine, thats a matter of taste I suppose. Some people like Celine Dion and Kenny G. But if you think he compares at all to Tupac, Big, Nas, or Lupe then I will just have to believe you know shit about hip-hop/rap.

    "Classic" is the name of a song, i wasnt referring to classic Mc's which obv all those guys are. But the song "Classic" which is a nike promo i do believe for the air force ones. Just search "Kanye West-Classic" on youtube to peep the insainly sick video

    edit: just watched the video for the first time in like 4 months. Such a sick Primo Beat..both Nas and Rakim Killed it. Coincidently i think Kanyes Verse was the weakest lol. Super super sick song though...
