No offense, but this is such a lame bash on the president. Shouldn't you be happy that our president is trying to the the Olympics in the US because it will be a great boost to the economy?

  2. fuck the guilty parties seriously, what the fuck is wrong with them hitting a unconscious defenseless person with a board none the less than the burn his memorial, the only good thing that can come of this is the national attention its receiving and people in charge of that city can clean those fucking streets up. This was another reason I almost never left campus when I studied in Chicago, we always heard about students getting stabbed and robbed etc...
  3. what vid are yall watchin? only one I see in the OP's link is the news clip

    google "Derrion Albert video"
  5. absolutely sickening
  6. Is Derrion the same guy that gets hit in the head with the board by the white car, punched in the face right there after? and I know its him that gets beaten further up the road. Are these both him? I've seen the video numerous times but I'm still confused.

It looks like he was then just trying to kind of get away and then they went after him again by the alley and that's when the video got blurry. The kid at about 01:15 is probably the one who ended his life by hitting him with that board again.

really need to work on your empathy man. their are alot of kids in these neighborhoods who "know better" but still get killed. and you going after them with guns for revenge would only result in more random people getting killed. this is how alot of gang violence works: say you killed a gangmember because that was your cousin or nephew, they have a meeting that night, assign some kids to a hit, and those kids go out and shoot up your house, or you neighbors house (doesnt matter if they are innocent or not), repeat. its an endless cycle, perpetuated, in part, by the argument you are making (or people with similar dispositions).
  9. I'm not from the ghetto or anything, but I'm pretty sure if you live on a street with a gang and don't join said gang they kick your ass quite often. I guess that's not being forced to do something?

    PS-

Gangs are pretty much dead anyway, who would have thought the drug problem would take care of the gang problem? Only in America baby!
  10. ^^^^^^^naggers.. too fucking funny

Not much you can do when a group comes to your bus stop. This kid was a good kid that got caught in the middle of senseless violence. Not much he can do there to avoid the situation.

Absolutely not what happened.. You can see him come into the video and he pushes/ punches someone to the ground, then gets hammered by a board.. .beat up a bit more by a few people.. then the camera moves over to the dude with the board against the 3 guys.. then it moves back over to him getting pummeled to death.. he could have avoided it if he wouldnt have went right in there blazing throwing punches/ throwing people.. It kinda makes me sick that the media paints him as this " honor roll student who got caught up in it and is just soooo innocent" Its so sad, but yet.. the stupidity of these people amazes me.
  12. Wouldn't you say that most people (certainly not all!) are a product of their environment? Not using this to excuse the behavior, but if you grow up this way and this is what you see from the time you're an infant/toddler, you'd think it was just the way life is. Morals have to be instilled, they aren't inborn.
  13. How many teenagers do the right thing when faced with extreme peer pressure to do the wrong thing? It's not impossible, but unfortunately, most people go along with the crowd. Nobody wants to stand out and be ostracized for being different. It's not an excuse for their behavior and they should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. They are obviously a menace to society. But, like I said above, the vast majority of people are a product of their environment and learn these types of behaviors from a very young age. It's just a sad state of affairs all around. RIP Derrion.

uh....maybe because it was on the south side of chicago? to my knowledge those are majority black neighborhoods, like harlem or watts. just like tempe, AZ is majority white, middle age people. but i'm sure that if this tragedy happened in tempe, you would say ''how am i not surprised they were all white?"

    yeah. i'm sure of it.
  15. wrote my rant and didnt look at thread until today... look, obviously there is some serious sarcasm to the end of my post... I dont think they should be shot, gassed, or fried... however, i do think that they should have to spend the rest of their lives locked up... there is no place for people like this in our country except in prison... again, my main issue is the parents, you know, the fucking clowns with no education, in and out of jail, spend no quality time with their children, dont stress education, have no discipline, let their children run around the streets hanging with gangsters... FUCK these people!!! I taught high school basketball for 3 years in the hood and i saw many young adults make the right decisions and go on to live great lives and go to college etc and i saw others kicked out of school for fighting, dealing drugs, sexually harassing women etc... they always have a choice so dont give the ol "product of their environment" BULLSHIT excuse... all these kids need is some quality role models.. unfortunately, instead of seeking out the positive people and doing the right thing, most will FOLLOW the bling and make lame excuses as to why they cant do this or that... just like their ignorant parents... these parents have NO morals and no control of their kids... Kids suffering from lack of parenting, whats new??
