How about Beltran plus cash to the M's for a couple mid level prospects at the break if they're within 3-4 games?
-
There's no point, the M's aren't contending this year. Seattle is already committed to Guti in CF and I'm fine with them running a platoon of Saunders and Peguerro in LF. Ackley should be coming up sooner rather than later. Let the kids play!
-
I can only watch Saunders strike out and balls bounce off Peguero's glove for so long. And you forgot this is the AL West. Anything is possible!
-
If Seattle can keep up with Texas now that Cruz and Hamilton are back in the fold I might start coming around. I'm still firmly entrenched in the youth movement for now. Yeah, Peguero leaves something to be desired in the field, but he's no worse than Bradley plus at least he can hit a bit (in clutch situations anywho). I agree about Saunders though. He needs to start swinging at 1st pitch strikes as he's in heaps of trouble in 2 strike counts.

Ackley has been absolutely on fire the last couple weeks in Tacoma. If they've waited this long already, I assume he'll be called up the second he won't have super two status.
Anyone going the the NYY series? -
Believing! Great game
-
Hell yeah. I'll be there Monday and Thursday. It was so crazy how many Yankee fans at Safeco stitch the names on the back of their jerseys. Retards. And what a dejected bunch after the loss. I Lol'd
-
Up until like 2-3 years ago, all the replica jerseys were sold like that. You think they actually hand stitched the names on there? lolol
-
in a tough spot here. i have king felix but also have cano and tex. thought about benching felix but couldnt bring myself to do it. hopefully cano and tex both go like 3-3 and felix has 15 ks and gets a win.we better get this on mlb network.
-
What a stat - Felix has had 1 or less runs scored for him in 18 of last 45 starts.

How about Valdez being the 1st guy to start a game in the field and be the winning pitcher since Babe Ruth, October 1, 1921. -
Eh he owns the Yankees. I'd be surprised if his ERA was over 2 vs team last year (was at least 2 or 3 starts, got to witness one of those slaughters first hand).

over .500 bitches!
And they need a lineup overhaul. Sick and tired of figgins coming up empty in clutch spots. Sucks they have nobody that resembles a 4 or 5 hitter, but heres my preferred lineup
ichiro
ryan
smoak
olivo
gutierrez
kennedy
cust
peguero/wilson
figgins
jack wilson 9 whenever he plays for kennedy -
You forgot Ackley who should be up with the M's after June 1st. I'd assume he'll eventually be hitting in the 2 hole.

"Hand" stitched? No. But I'd feel like a douche wearing a jersey so obviously unlike what they wear on the field, even if it's a replica. They must assume the fan base is too dumb to remember who wears #2 -

Felix=best in AL, Pineda=up and coming stud, rest of the team...not so much. They'll be back in the cellar soon. Hope the fans are enjoying their KC-esque hot streak.
side note- I laugh at him when he tells me Icrhio is a better lead off hitter then Rickey Henderson -

whos to know if ichiro played from 21 to 43 in the mlb. hes 27 to 37 atm. -
I'll be the first to say the Mariners won't win the west, but I'm doubting the cellar. Nowhere to go but up for a few players, Ichiro included.
Henderson>Ichiro -
I'll be the first to say that Seattle isn't a World Series contender
