I guess i'll have to make it. Discuss?

#1 vs #7 gets no love, guess everyone agrees Cats gonna roll dat gator ass tonight.
Love how they compare Anthony Davis's stats against other TEAMS instead of individual players. So sick. -
how many game threads have you seen this year? I can remember a small handful at the most. this game really isn't that interesting, I mean the spread is 9. the last game of the year @ Florida will make the nation care. nobody really cares about the SEC, we all know UK is going to ship it.
the SEC becomes relevant at tourney time.
I'll defend the SEC for being a better league than most think, but I won't defend it for being interesting. it's just not, from an outside perspective. -

Anytime two top 10 schools play it should be interesting.
If you're going to root for Florida, at least you posted a hott chick. -
we have 2 of those games this week, and already played 2 top 5 matchups. zzz
and Florida is top 10 in record only, their resume is NOT top 10. -

After today they have played @Ohio St, @KY, @ Syracuse. That's the top 3 teams in the country. I think that's pretty tough.

lol you'd be surprised. -
and they lost to Rutgers and Tennessee, both well outside the RPI top 100. they have only played 5 games against RPI top 50 teams, and are 3-2 (3-3 after tonight)

they have a good resume, but CERTAINLY not in the top 10, but definitely top 15-20.
they are #14 RPI, #12 Sagarin, #14 kenpom -
don't know about resume but i don't think there is 15 better teams.

Noah sucked so bad his freshman year. I don't know how that guy turned into what he was. I hated playing him lol. -
I would rank Florida around 12-15th. I think they are a Sweet 16 team, but have a lower ceiling. like I can't see them making the Final Four...they really don't defend all that well, and they are prone to upsets because they live and die from 3 at times.

they are 2nd in the nation adjusted offensive efficiency on kenpom, but 100th on D. you have to go all the way down to #25 Creighton to find another team above 100:

they are just overrated at #7 is all... I think they have a good squad -

that is fair. -
There have been multiple analysts that say Nerlin Noels is a better shot blocker than Davis. I just don't see how that is possible.
Also MKG is the best big game player in the nation. -
Somebody find Florida's bus driver and have him go warm that sum bitch up.
-
I've watched Noel and he is very solid, but Davis is just unreal at this point. If KY lands Noel/Shabazz then wow.
-
Thing about Davis is he never gets into foul trouble. He rarely leaves his feet on a pump fake. If Noel/Shabazz come then just go ahead and hang #9

The rest of us are too excited for UNC/Duke tomorrow..even though that lazy Duke team is gonna get wiped across the floor by the Heels.

florida isnt in that top tier of teams like kentucky and syracuse but with the parody in the sport i dont think its crazy to think they can win it all. theres 15-20 teams that can win it this year and florida has to be one of them. When I look at them I see a team that can beat anybody on a neutral court. They've played all their tough games on the road. I wouldnt bet on them but they can make a run. Say for instance you put them on a neutral floor with syracuse. I think they can win that game and it wouldnt be a huge upset.

Wat? Do I need more posts to ask how long you played ball? lol

Just got back from the game, one of the few Florida fans in attendance. Kinda surprised there were a few empty seats @ Rupp considering it was a match up of the 2 best teams in the conference, and fairly close to the court for that matter. Sat about 10 rows from the top, and even then, the view isn't bad at all. A great arena to watch basketball, and I'm glad I made Rupp Arena the site of my 1st college basketball game attended in person. If you've never been, you must go at least once.
Obviously after tonight, Kentucky is far superior to anyone in the SEC, maybe even the country. Couldn't miss from 3 in the 2nd half and had 2 many easy buckets via alley-oops, especially Davis. Dude is a beast and I got to see it with my own 2 eyes tonight in person. Unstoppable on both ends of the floor, and possibly the #1 pick in the 2013 NBA draft if he leaves early which he should. Gilchrist was a monster himself and also has a bright NBA future, top 5 pick for sure if he has a big NCAA tournament and comes out early. Has the game to make his own shot, rebound, and break ankles on the dribble like he did often tonight.
Hopefully, a closer contest will be in order come the rematch in Gainesville.
