  1. I need to know. I think my girl would really.... really like this. My only problem is I don't know which cut would be the best?

Give me a 1 to 10 1 being the ugliest 10 being you obv like it. Also please give me some ideas and reasons for each cut.

    Also which ring you'd pick. A B or C they're labeled.
  2. ugh....princess cut if you really want to throw your life away

    glgl
  3. I woudl go with princess cut as well.
  4. i dont like any of your choices, no offense.

i may be partial though. obv the middle part is the wedding band. she can wear them together or separate.
  5. I don't like them either... sorry, you asked... (check out the Harry Winston engagement ring section, those I rly like, then copy it!). And GLGL! =)

  6. That1chic's choice is about as ugly as rings get. It looks so trashy...

  7. i like it t1c. a ring that transforms... who wouda thunk?
  8. Alright I'll keep looking. Thanks for the honesty you guys.

I didn't expect to make this post without someone thinking this stuff was ugly, so don't worry so just say what you're thinking.

  9. t1c's recommendation is very similar to my wife's. She gets a lot of compliments on it.
  10. t1c why do rings have to cost 5k to be a good ring?
  11. im hetro..so maybe my oppinion doesnt mean much...but i also dislike that ring...I dont wanna say it looks too "modern"..just dosnt feel like an engagement ring...
  12. Imo, look for one where the band is as thin as possible and the diamond a square or rectangle with very thin almost unnoticeable clasps. Step away from pear shaped diamonds or yellow gold! And congratz! =)

  13. they dont.

but you get what you pay for, just like anything else.
  14. hi, that's my ring. lol

it's gotten quite a lot of compliments fwiw.

edit* and yes it is quite modern, but that's my style. to each their own.
  15. zona,

which ring did your husband get you? or which ring to you wish for someday?
  16. so paying 5 mil for a ring when they walk in a store like a celeb means more then a ring a guy bought for 500 but spent months finding one he thought was right?
  17. hate to say it but im not a fan of that1's ring either. I like simpler stuff
  18. um idk, why you askin me? id be happy with a twist tie, but i was lucky enough to get something nicer than that.
  19. C, 1ct. i only like round diamonds :) but i do like the thicker band.
  20. Alright I'm building a few rings on BlueNile right now. I have to be the worst bf ever to not know this shit.

I'll post the pictures when I find something I think looks good.

  21. nah, you're awesome, she'll love it even if you give her a shoestring to tie on her finger (well, maybe not so much, but she'll love it no matter what ring you pick out).

  22. u were in my line of sights lol

meh it just kinda pisses me off people think a ring is a big deal. i just don't get it
  23. this is my ring. it's a canary diamond, set in platinum. i love it.

edit: if i had to pick one out of your choices, i'd go with b.
  24. first thing that comes to mind husband overcompensating :)
  25. see forever, let this be a lesson.

you have to take your girl's personality into account here. for instance, beki's ring is beautiful, but id never wear it, it doesnt match me at all and i bet she'd say the same of mine.

believe it or not, youll find something that matches her and unfortunately, we wont be able to help with that.

    gl. youll do great.
  26. ^^zactly. every girl is different, which is why there are so many beautiful types of rings to choose from. when you find the perfect ring that fits your fianc's taste, you'll know.

    p.s. i love your ring t1c. it's very elegant.
  27. Good advice form T1C who knew. j/k

But yes personality is everything when picking out a ring. the one my wife wears i would have never picked out by myself.
  28. Hopefully I'm not telling you anything new here, but pleeeeease remember that a diamond is judged by more than just it's size.

A pet peeve of mine is people that say "my diamond is one carat, na na na na naaaa na". But you look at it, and it's noticeabley flawed.

Remember the 4 C's - cut, clarity, colour, and carats.

Get a good one - she'll appreciate it.
  29. My suggestion would be to take her shopping with you & watch her reactions to different rings. Jewelry is so personal and it's more important to get something that she likes rather than surprizing her with something she might not. I'm sure she'll like whatever you pick out eventually.
  30. I think the rings you picked out are beautiful. They look very classy and timeless. I love the princess cut, it's my favorite. Then I like oval or round next. I'm not a fan of the marquise cut or the heart-shaped diamond at all. I 100% agree that you have to take your gf's personality into account when picking a ring. I'm very traditional. While I like beki and t1c's rings, they are not at all for me. Also, believe it or not, the shape of her hand matters. I have very small hands with thin fingers and certain shapes just aren't flattering on me. Also, big huge diamonds look too gaudy on me. Hope that helps! gl to you!
