well, as long as no one was under the influence, no problem.
LAS VEGAS, Dec 29 (Reuters) - Five busloads of students who stopped in Nevada en route to a ski trip were given a break on Thursday when police let them to go free in exchange for turning over large quantities of marijuana and alcohol stashed in their luggage.
Zumwalt said Elko police have not yet weighed the marijuana they seized -- it was roughly enough to fill two large kitchen trash bags, he said -- but no one appeared under the influence at the time the buses were stopped. -
That's a shitload of pot for high school students...i could see it if it was 5 busloads of college kids. And what idiots smoking pot in a convenience store parking lot, deserved to get their shit confiscated.
-
mules though?
-
thats like, 1.5kg bro
5 busloads of students at 60 students per bus thats 300 students
1500grams/300 - 5g per student...say the ski trip is 5 days long, that 1g per day per student.
nice -
Why were they bringing weed to Cali?
-
lol at 'drug mules'
-
how pissed would you be if you got your shit confiscated cause the stoner crowd couldn't wait and lit one up in a convenience store parking lot?

how cool are the dudes that didn't give their weed to the cops?
-
Kids are smoking MJ in a convenience store parking lot1!?! Shame they didn't have a swat team.
-
Seriously. Guy has 350 kids (potential customers) at his little convenience store in a town with 4 cop cars and calls the police because kids are smoking a little weed. Sounds like terrible business
-
lol Utah

I wonder how the cops would have gotten a warrant to search someone's person or bags, if they were not seen smoking MJ in the parking lot. I wonder how they would have got a warrant to search the buses too. Sounds like the cops pulled one over on the little dope smokers.
I also wonder how big a big kitchen garbage bag is.
Chaperones were present, but nobody was over 20? -
Time to mark-up the prices of the salty snacks there fella.
-
school officials/drivers prolly gave permission. and/or maybe the kids didn't have rights a la "your locker is our property, we can search it" type stuff.
-
More importantly, Elko Police Department's 2011 NYE party is going to be fucking sick

LOL @ drug mules. Get a grip. Prosecution of marijuana offenders is pointless and rediculous, it has no benifit to society.
-
What true heros these cops are.
-
yeah, the clerk calling the cops is ludicrous.
-
Finally, maybe now we can resolve the war on drugs now that these dangerous perpetrators have been taught a lesson. See how easy it is to move drugs without your cellphone and ipad mister.

I'm guessing this is invasion or something similar. they use to advertise at my hs, at least a lot of kids knew about it and went but it had no affiliation with the school. Some kids parents wouldn't let them go to Tahoe for New Years with their friends but thought it was ok if they were on an organized tour, but it is a waay bigger party then if they were just with their friends
