Dirk has 1 MVP, 1 Finals MVP, 1 NBA Championship, 11 All star games, 4 NBA All first team, won the 3 point shootout, lot of Euro awards too
Larry has 3 MVPs, 3 Finals MVPs, 3 NBA Championships, 12 All Star games, 9 NBA all first teams, ROY, All Star Game MVP, 3 three point shootout titles, won the wooden and the naismith, not to mention has been named NBA Coach of the Year in 98 and Executive of the Year this past season -
god you're dumb on so many levels. The whole argument was based on romo playing in a more competetive league than montana which is why he can be the 7th or 8th best QB and still be compared to one of the goats of the 80s.

tony romo is in the prime of his career right? hes not 1 of the 10 best qbs in the league lol...u can argue hes 9th or 10th best, but if take into account how terrible hes been at leading his team in the playoffs then i probably dont have him in my top 10 this year...give me jay cutler over tony romo, and i fucking hate jay cutler lol...joe montana is 1 of the best qbs ever...how is this a discussion i dont get it?
joe montana won more super bowls then tony romo will win playoff games in his lifetime...but oh ya that playoffs arent important in judging someones career i guess
Second...based on your obsession with regular season and everything you've said so far ITT you pretty much have to consider peyton manning a subpar qb since he failed what like 11/12 times in the playoffs so far in his career (or whatever the number is). REGULAR SEASON DOES MATTER.
He is a top 10 QB. 31 TDs 10 INTs. Just watching him he is clearly a top 5 QB in terms of athleticism but poor decision making puts him out of the top 5. You're obv a blind hater so after this post I'm going to kindly disregard your opinions.Originally Posted by Jsup

no reason at all -
I can make an argument for him being better than Stafford, Newton, Vick, and Rivers.

Also, statistically he blows Eli away but "ZOMG 2 rings" kills any intelligent argument for those two
-
voorhs...peyton manning has played in 2 super bowls and won a super bowl and won a bunch of other playoff games..its not like hes won 1 playoff game in his entire career like a certain tony romo

just bc the league is more competitive in 2012 doesnt mean that u can compare a guy who might not be a top 10 qb in todays game to the best qb in the 1980s...im not a blind hater of tony romo..i think hes a good solid starting qb in the nfl right around the top 10 players in the league...i think his poor decision making as you put it and the fact that hes a complete choke artist puts him just outside of my top 10
and of course i think the regular season stats matter you fucking dolt...when did i ever say they dont matter? all i said to the original retard who tried to compare montana to romo was that you have to count playoff stats/records when comparing players...hes trying to compare romo to montana without looking at their playoff records...montana won 4 super bowls and romo has won 1 playoff game...god you are a giant fucking retard
and latisfahs.... im sure you can make an argument for romo being better then stafford, newton, vick and rivers but they would probably be wrong...id rather have all 4 of those guys as my teams qb then romo...and im not a romo hater lol i think hes a really good qb...just not as good as the other 10 guys i put ahead of him...kill yourself voors u douchebag
ur gonna tell me that romo is a better qb then eli manning now? fuck it im over this u guys know everything and i know nothing clearly...fucking idiots -
No I don't think he's better than Eli right now because I think Eli has progressed quite a bit but facts are Romo's career and season-by-season numbers blow Eli's way. Most people tend to ignore that because Eli has two rings.

Also, why is Vick better than Romo? The biggest argument against Romo is that he puts up video game numbers but hasn't won anything. Vick sure as shit hasn't either.
Romo being a poor decision maker and careless with the ball is not a misconception. Romo being a choke artist is a huge misconception. -
romo might be better then vick i think its close between them...i wouldnt want either of them as my qb in a huge high pressure game
im hoping to get tony romo as my backup qb in my 12 team fantasy league tonight...not trying to be funny with this comment...its a pretty big buy in league so im guessing he wont be 1 of the top 12 qbs taken since people know what they are doing...i think hes a good player though so id love to have him as my backup -
nvm

Romo was the 7th rated fantasy qb last season. He should be even better this year with the emergence of Dez.
I couldn't help but laugh when you said the people in your league know what they are doing yet Romo likely won't be one of the top 12 qbs drafted.
If I were you I'd draft Russell Wilson super late in the draft as a backup. He's gonna surprise a lot of people. I really like his skill set and poise. I like his mental approach to the game.
Obv Bird >> Dirk but I think Dirk is on Bird's level when it comes to shooting prowess. Dirk's patented one legged fallaway is the most indefensible shot since Kareem's 'sky hook' or Hakeem's 'dream shake' -
im just trying to piss off voors with the tony romo as a backup in a 12 team league comments lol...he seems to get really butt hurt and im sure that whole paragraph infuriated him...i agree on r. wilson...its crazy bc coming out of college i didnt even think he could play in the nfl, i think hes 5 foot 10 or something....he might end up having the best rookie year of all the qbs...
i have the 7th pick in the draft and if i dont pick brees or brady im prob gonna end up having to wait until like the 6-9th round to pick a qb and knowing my shitty luck ill have romo as my starter and have to root for him all year...ill post later tonight how many qbs are picked ahead of romo..im guessing hell be the 7th or 8th qb taken -
I've been with you in this thread all the way up to here ...

Romo is soooo much better (fantasy speaking) than a back-up on a 12-man league. If your league doesn't understand that, they don't know what they are doing. -
read what i wrote the post before yours...trying to get under the douchebag voors's skin...i think romo is a solid qb...obv i hate his dumb face and his bullshit answers that he gives in every interview, and i think hes the opposite of clutch when it matters...but hes athletic as hell with a sick arm and puts up pretty good numbers in regular season games
-
lol and im the one getting butthurt here....yeah okay.

Ya I ended up with him as my starter this year because I took him as a value pick at 60. Not super excited about it but I loaded up on a bunch of high upside RBs early on (Ryan Mathews, Fred Jackson, Doug Martin, Arian Foster) This is in a 10 man league. IMO Fred Jackson is gonna be a mega steal for his draft position. I'm pretty excited about Doug Martin too he's an every down back and I think he'll be a top 12 back this year if not top 10. He's built like a bulldog at 5'9" 220 lbs I like those type of backs. He was really into break dancing and Jackie Chan type stuff growing up so he has tremendous balance
Wilson is sick he def plays bigger than his height. I always like grabbing qbs that can run wild. The dude just seems to be a playmaker. -
ya i love fred jackson this year im hoping he drops to me in the beginning of the 3rd round...i honestly may just wait for a qb and take romo/RG3 late and get a good backup like cutler or big ben who are projected to go super late...would be funny if i had my 2 least fav qbs (romo and cutler)...im leaning torwards taking brees with the 7th pick just to avoid having people i hate to root for lol
weve derailed this thread enough though with this bullshit about tony homo being better then joe montana and about voors being a braindead moron...
lets get back to talking about how dirk, the 6th-15th best white player of all time is better then larry bird -
just finished my draft...its a 250 buy in 12 team league and tony romo was the 11th qb taken and he was the 11th pick in the 6th round...i ended up taking tom brady with the 7th pick in the 1st round...not sure how i feel about it..so he was almost a backup in our fantasy league lol...great value there for basically a 7th round pick
-
Statistics don't win super bowls. Fucking icewater in your QB's veins wins superbowls. Also it's dumb to use stats to compare Romo to Eli when Eli plays in a wind tunnel called Giants Stadium and Romo plays in nice weather or indoors.

im surprised nowitzki has more career points than bird without his career being over yet
other than that, bird would be a stud fantasy pick every year probably first overall. also, if youve played nba jam on ps3 you know the answer is clearly larry legend -
for an actor......
charlton heston or eddie haskel???? -
Bird!
-
kellykip doing work ITT

Well the first 2 there's no chance you can make any valid arguments. Vick, sure, guy cant stay healthy or win. Rivers, meh, same guy as Romo imo. They both put up above avg regular season stats and scrub it up in the post season.

Wow Romo went that late? The difference between Romo and Brady fantasy wise is only about 5 ppg.
There are only a handful of true feature backs left in the league. If I were you I would've drafted CJ2K Darren McFaddy or Megatron at that spot.
Vick is a super value pick at 38 or whatever it's ridiculous that he's going so late this year. People sure have short memories. D Jax gonna kill it this year.
